last attempt he escaped from prison was successful, he turned himself in because police published his picture and name in newspapers saying that he robbed some old man and he is dangerous. he turned himself in to clean his name and was later pardoned.

Finland was never a strong ally of the nazis. Germany was the only one willing to help so the enemy of my enemy is my friend. We had to ally with Germany, if we didn't there would not be Finland today. Russia was the bigger evil against Finland than any other country during ww2. Mannerheim, the leader of Finland at that time didn't like Hitler and tought little of him. Mannerheim was a marshal. Hitler was a corporal. :D

Well said; this is actually a true history why Finland decided to join Germany and attack back to russia with the stronger ally (but Finland only wanted own land back) and Hitler actually looked up to Mannerheim because Finns survived in Winter War and were not occupied. End of WW2 Finns wanted germans out of the country and it was called Lapland War against germans.
