I'm continuing with the Homemade Wine project using Primitivo grapes, in addition to the Primitivo Wine I have also made a few liters of Rosé Wine 😉

Fantastic video! I really enjoyed this very much, you seem like an incredibly chill and thoughtful person. The color is that of a Tavel style rose, deeper than rose but not quite red which I find very pretty. You can get a more traditional color if you macerate the skins for less time or choose a more thin-skinned grape variety than Primitivo. Primitivo also has lower acid which is why it is not considered the best for making rose where you want high acid varieties. Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Aglianico will all yield lighter more 'traditional' looking and tasting results.

spectacular color. i would add some mashed kiwi or papaya peels to provide some pectinase enzyme in wort before fermentation, it helps clearing the wine and improving taste a little bit.

@@Spectacular-cuoredicioccolato papaya and kiwi has pectinase enzyme which converts pectin sugar into smaller water soluble sugars like glucose, pectin isnt a water soluble sugar that's why it gives the haze. i am using gelatine powder for clearing, gelatine ions gets the roaming protein etc. ions and causes them to sink down with gelatin and that clears the wine. we need to use small amount of gelatin in huge amount of water, like a teaspoon of gelatin in a 200 ml cup of water. it will dissolve but if it doesn't, you can microwave it to melt fast. then use that solution as wine clearing agent, 1 tablespoon of solution for 1 liter of wine that's my ratio that works well in turkey climate, feel free to adjust it if it doesn't work good enough. cheers

The Rossato looks amazing, especially in that beautiful scenery! Have you ever used the sediment left after fermentation? I have used that sediment after beer-making, and simmered it down into a thick paste. I also added some chicken powder and ended up with a Marmite-like spread with an intense yeasty umami flavor. I think it might also be very good with the wine sediments.

Hi. Interesting you are making wine both in Europe and Indonesia. The room temperature is very different in the two locations. Do you get off flavours when fermenting in Indonesia as usually when fermenting temperature is high, the final product may have some odd taste and aroma. Maybe better to ferment in a cool location like a wine chiller?
