It will but only slightly. To improve combat a lot it would take redoing the core of it, I believe.

Appreciate the vote of confidence, mate, but I can safely say that Black Myth Wukong is a no brainer to buy. Great game so far. I honestly got no clue how to pronounce Enotria. Maybe IGN is right? I really don't know.

Thanks for this review! Unlike you, I think I'll love the gameplay. I'll write the same as I did on 2 other good channels. I play it with a heavy 2-hands weapon and I rush without caution into anything, parrying all close and ranged attacks in groups. Not because I'm good but because this game has really a huge parry window. It's really tons of funs for a Souls-used gamer to rush into everything rather than being prudent as usual. It's a shame that this game relies so much on parries that you don't even try to make builds although it is more complex, deep and interesting than it looks. Nevertheless, I don't mind playing as an "enraged bull parrying Guts" with a huge greatsword in a world with visuals and art uncommon and beautiful to me.

I couldn't finish the demo and after watching a few hours it's not for me. Love me some souls likes but this game looks way to clunky. Hope the devs learn and make something awsome next time. Not that this is terrible but just didn't do it for me. Always love your feedback on games. Keep on keeping on!

Exactly what I needed. Tired of getting these mediocre "soulslike" (coughflintlockcough) and others. I really really like the regional addition to it all but they need to step back and take a page from Black Myth: Wukong and how they did it. More of an action RPG but it's like it took all of the annoying aspects from "soulslike" and kept all the great stuff with AMAZING lore and actually related to real life stories. Most of the "soulslike" clones now just half ass it and it make it annoying af (coughlordsofthefallencough) and it gets real old, real fast to play an annoying game that tries to play as "hard" but is just annoying because they can't fine tune the mechanics.

Don't get me started on Flintlock. That game was pure garbage. I played all the way to the end and hated the combat jank, performance issues, bosses were pure trash and the world was so lacking. You have a handful of pickups and its all rinse and repeat.

I want to support the team, cause firstly I know how tough is to run a company like that in EU, especially in Italy with criminal taxation and exorbitant costs… But also for the fact they really put a lot of effort in this work, in fact the art direction is not bad at all… Ps. You have to play it with Italian dub tho 😅

When you say clunky souls gameplay like fighting, do you mean the slow methodical type like once you swing your stuck in that animation for a sec? Or is this game just worse. Like demon souls for me was a little to heavy but elden ring was about spot on. Lies of p , lords of fallen that kinda gameplay is awesome for me. I’m not a fan of like devil may cry combat.

Clunky means unpolished. Framework is all over the place, animations aren't convincing, finishing moves are poor, positioning during combat at times works and at other times doesn't matter, weapons have that plastic feeling... That sort of thing. Nothing to do with combat style. Demon Souls has great combat for example, doesn't matter if it's slow.
