listen!! don’t get hung up on words, listening is the key to language, hear the sounds first then learn the vocabulary and grammar fun videos, repetition works!
@Lapestebubbonica4 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that' really the secret. People think you study grammar ASAP and it's stupid. Kids don't learn to talk by talking but by listening (of course they are faster at that age) - but still you first learn the sound, then the meaning and then the right pronounce/grammar. So if you want to learn any language you just gotta simulate how a baby learns - Listen only in that language, you gotta simulate the environment around you. Put some headphones and listen to these videos over and over. Pick 10 basic videos and listen to them 1/2 times a day for 10 days.

As a Turkish guy, love italian language and i have started to learn recently. Love italian cuisine, very similar to us, they love high carbs bread, pasta, pizza ;) . love their history as well, studied roman law at university, read cicero, dante... but i havent met any italian tough. when i was teenager l like and know tiziano ferro songs. other italian far as i heard pavorotti and berlusconi and some footballers respect totti, maldini. if i compare italian with my language; verb conjuctions - similar to our language, verb changes, ignoring subject pronouns . But so many exceptions in italian, irregular verbs and various tenses are quite challenging. In turkish rules are rules and tenses are quite simple. yet in one month i learned common verbs different versions at basic level. words, prepositions changes. challenging a bit but like it it sounds natural. we have gender free and there is no def. articles in our language. Yet i like it. best thing about isi talian that word pronouncations are so clear and natural to my ears. they dont swallow, hard roll or make weird sounds. We almost all italian sounds at our lives, similar usages. Easy to listen and follow... Personally i coudnt make french throat sounds well or english special th (tongue out), schwa, hard jawdropper sounds are quite annoying for me... French dont pronounce %60 of word, what the hell if u dont sound :) i mean so many silent letters, calculation of numbers looks weird. i just want to say number, it turns to the math problem. italians sound nearly all letters, their numbers are same sense. italian unique rhytm and stress are quite pleasant like music. tons of hand gestures like turkish. i think italian much easy to learn at begining but hard to master than English.

I’m 16 and currently trilingual. I know English, Spanish & BSL. And I’ve always loved languages so now I’m trying to learn Italian! I think it’s a good 4th language since it’s similar to Spanish. Shes freakin Russian so derp, jokes on them but moving on. I'm English and have studied Spanish before. I haven't used it in a while, so I have to study again to resurface it, but I find that learning Italian is helping me remember the Spanish that I've forgotten due to how similar the words are. I know some French too, and some of the words are throwing me off when I read them, because I read the French pronunciation for them. Like, Facile, Difficile, Dire, Fare, Avere, Venire, Prendere, Trovare, Parlere, and Volere look near identical to their French counterparts, so I get the confusion. The letter C keeps throwing me off when I see it too.
@lislearnitalianwithsongs3 жыл бұрын
@@mature111ster I understand the confusion quite well! Knowing the French pronunciation can be kind of misleading when learning Spanish or Italian. But, on the other hand, Spanish and Italian have more similar traits in common in their pronunciation. A good way to “ metabolize“ the pronunciation aspect is that off listening to songs, but, of course, I am biased here. If you click on the pizza on the left (it will take you to the channel “learn Italian with songs“) you will get an idea of what I’m talking about. Ciao!

Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. At 9:14 this helped me understand why a lovely co worker from Italy would run into work late shouting, "I know, I know, I know, I'm late". We were shocked speechless, because in the USA, this sounds antagonistic and would definitely upset people even more, LOL. In the US we would say something like: "I'm so, so sorry! I had car trouble!" (or whatever the reason was), and then: I'll be sure to stay late to make up for the lost time" of if you're meeting a friend, "let me buy you a drink to make up for it". Hope I don't do some sort of mistake like this when I'm in Italy, yikes.

Hi, I love your "Learn Italian with ItalianPod101, out of all the others on KZbin i like yours the most but there is one problem, you go way too fast if you slow down just a little it would be perfect. Please continue to make more learn Italian conversation videos but please go slower, I listen to you while i go walking everyday for an hour. Thanks for taking your time to do this because we appreciate it. ti amo

Wow, how about this for a change? It's not too fast for me, and you can always pause or rewind (for the expressions e.g.) and copy them from the screen, do some work yourself hey? The problem with most vids is that they are short , don't have that much information and are too slow, with a lot of repetition, so this is just perfect, as is the presenter BTW, but there is a mistake in the word describing her at the beginning (there's one letter too many in the word 'host') :-) So, as an absolute beginner in Italian, I would say: Ooh, quella donna è così carina! I am sure I would learn a lot of Italian very fast if she were in more vids (?). She has a relaxed attitude, which is good. But be careful not to overdo the technical gimmicks, use them sparingly. Thank you so much! La ringrazio molto. Will subscribe.

Desiree you do a wonderful job! You present it the way we should know it, not like some of the others. One small comment: Can you please slow it down about 2-4 seconds? Molto più lento, per favore?

There are a few factors in studying Italian online . One place I discovered that successfully combines these is the Hartlyn language lessons (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the no.1 remedy that I've found. Look at the incredible information .

Pro tip: I haven’t watched the whole vid, but you use essere for sentences that does not have a direct object, and avere for sentences that does have direct object. Hope this is helpful.
