Misal , meaning "mixture"), is a very popular spicy dish in the Western Indian state of Maharashtra. The dish is mostly eaten for breakfast or as a midday snack or sometimes as a one-dish meal, often as part of misal pav. It remains a favourite snack since it is easy to make with affordable ingredients and has a good nutritional value. The taste of misal ranges from mildly to extremely spicy. And there are a lot of varieties as well. Misal is also a popular street food. The dish is always served hot.

Sabudana vada, also called 'sabu vada', is a traditional deep fried fritter from Maharashtra, India. It is often served with spicy green chutney and along with hot chai and is best eaten fresh.In other parts of the country, Sabudana vada are the best option to have when fasting. It's usually during religious festivals and during fast/vrat/upvaas especially in Navratri vrats. Like all vadas, these are best eaten fresh. Sabudana vadas are crunchy and "melt in the mouth."

Thalipeeth is a savoury multi-grain flatbread popular in Western India, particularly Maharashtra. The flour for thalipeeth, called bhajanee, is prepared from roasted grains, legumes and spices. The ingredients include grains such as rice,[1] wheat, bajra, and jowar; legumes such as chana, and urad; and spices, most commonly coriander and cumin seeds.[2] When preparing the dough, other ingredients such as onion, fresh coriander, other vegetables and spices are added.[3] Thalipeeth is usually served with butter (preferably made from water buffalo milk), ghee, or yogurt.
@meenalkenkare33242 жыл бұрын
A thaalipeeth is made with a mixture of flours ( rice, jowar, baajra) called bhaajni mixed with corriander power. We mix finel cut onion ,corriander leaves , some spices. We make the dough and then pat it into a raund shape. The thaalipeeth is then either deep fried or shallow friend on a tawa as per your preference. It's a favourite breakfast of many Maharashtrians. They sometimes put butter on top to enhance it's taste.
@SachinTipnis2 жыл бұрын
Thalipeeth (थालीपीठ) is healthy food and it is made up of mixure 2 or more grain flours and it is shallow fried. I know that the Italians love fried food and in Marathi cousine there many fried food dishes like वांग्याचे काप (fried slices of eggplant), सुरणाचे काप (fried slices of elephant foot yam), बटाट्याचे काप (fried slices of potato) etc.

Relax, have you even tried food from the south... Anyways, there's many items , that even indians aren't aware of, like the north east .
@neonblade46992 жыл бұрын
@@bobbyeapen6049 Your point doesn't make sense. She lives in Mumbai and doesn't know Vadapav. Proper point would be if one lives in South and doesn't know Dosa. *Like living in certain region and not knowing most popular food of that region* Besides, have you lived in North? South Indian food is literally an everyday food in a lot of homes in North now.

@@neonblade4699 bro i had dosa 6 times in last 1 week 😳
@bobbyeapen60492 жыл бұрын
@@ritiktiwari5831 that's the typical answer from the north, ohhhh a dosa and idili... Oh ya we had south food.. have you tried beef and parotta...probably not. Pork curry, Appam, goan sausages, vindaloo, even the chicken curry(are different), Andra chicken fry, a sadhya from the south, there's a tonne of items from the south that the north hasn't tried. Maybe she has not had much street food, or who knows.., just relax. Don't get bent outta shape, that someone hasn't tried a specific dish over there. Its not that big of a deal.
@neonblade46992 жыл бұрын
@@bobbyeapen6049 Lmao, change of goalposts. "Bet you don't eat South food" "We do, we eat dosa, idli, rasam, pongal, etc" "But you havn't tried all 1000 dishes" P.S: All of our comments are in fun and surprise that she hasn't tried Vadapav and she lives in Mumbai. If I was living in Trivandrum, and hadn't tried parotta then it would be equivalent. Its a pretty simple fun comment, you are the only one who is being too defensive here.
