I went 3 times in Italy, Venice a long time ago, then Naples in 2017 and Florence and i can say that Naples was my best souvenir ❤ The level of energy of the people is incredible and when i came back in France it was like returning to a graveyard 😞 I love Italy, and i hope to return one day. You keep killing me when you compare Lara to Celine! Celine on her finest day couldn't have pulled off that performance! Don't get me wrong, Celine is of that higher level you speak of....she's amazing..But Lara Fabian is Celine with soul plus she speaks alot more languages and sings in more languages than Celine does. Lara also writes many of her own stuff as well! Celine has a group of talented writers that takes care of what she sings. the only reason the comparison was made is because Celine Dion become popular internationaly before Lara. I'm a french Canadian like Celine but i prefer Lara and i think her voice is better than Celine and more powerfull, more emotional she live the song. I have the same family story as Lara Fabian, italian grandparents who immigrated to Belgium, all my family always kept a physical and emotional connection to Italy, and especially Napoli. On top of that, my nonno (grandfather) was a great singer, so I heard him singing classic neapolitan opera all my childhood. We (Quebequois) have known Lara from her very first steps as a 'professional' singer. She was a rising star even before her first album, and Montrealers all knew of her talents, as of course she was living and performing here, (as were Céline, Ginette, Llhasa, 'la Dufresne' and many others just as fabulous, at more or less the same time) . Unfortunately, in Canada, what's in Quebec stays in Quebec, so artists have always had to make their name in Europe. Even so, Lara is far from unknown, she has sold quite a few million albums worldwide.

Cutting pieces of the performance shouldn't be necessary to avoid problems with youtube. Just stopping the vid and speaking as you do is enough. Is there another reason you cut out chunks of the song? Fabian, imo, is brilliant. She has extreme facility with language acquisition: absolutely fluent and writes songs in French, Italian, English, Spanish. Understands several more. Sings very, very competently according to native speakers in 12. Describes herself as a Songwriter with a voice. She's like Dion but with the ability to emote. Lara Fabian fan right here! 🙌🏼😅 She was actually born in Belgium, but her mom if from Sicilia so she learned from a young age to speak Italian. Also, her current husband is from Sicilia too. In the 90's she signed a contract with a big music label, the same as Celine, but all of a sudden they dropped her, so that's why she doesn't have the "big American career". But she has the same talent, or even better talent, than most A list singers we know. She has an incredible voice and besides that, she's an incredible person 💗💗💗 Maybe next time you could react to the live version of "La Solitudine" with Laura Pausini and Lara Fabian singing together! 'Born in Belgium', yes ..however, [Fabian] was *not* ' _raised_ in Canada'. She was raised, that is, her upbringing took place predominately in Belgium after having spent the first 4 and a half years of her life in Italy which, no doubt, heavily influenced her early development as well. She moved, as an adult(shortly before she turned 20), to North America i.e., Canada, in the hopes of advancing her career.

As a Canadian from Quebec (French Canadian), I know who she is since my childhood. She started her career in Quebec (in French) and we are not used to see singers from "here" with an international fame. She isn't as famous as Celine Dion for example, but she had a nice career in Europe. Now she is married with an Italian guy. The reason Lara is not more famous especially in the United States is because when Lara was trying to cross over into the United States, there is a rumor that people managing Mariah Carey's career blocked Lara from becoming famous in the U.S. because Mariah was the top selling voice of the 1990s and they didn't want another great voice competing with Mariah. I mention that because if Lara would have been famous in the USA, you all would have known about Lara sooner. That also happened to singer Lisa Lavie from Canada that was blocked from being successful in America. @Ar Zinzin Bonjour à toi! Premièrement je ne suis pa Français, deuxièmement je ne parle pas italien et troisièmement: que ça vous "dégoûte" , même si je trouve cela un peu fort, cela vous appartient. Quatrièmement l' Anglais n'est-il pas la langue internationale officielle ? Cinquièmement, moi aussi je trouve que l'académie Française malmène la langue. Des mots comme Brainstorming, parking etc. etc. Merci à toi, je te souhaite une magnifique journée...ou soirée! P.S. Il est plus facile pour quelqu'un dont la langue est d'origine latine de comprendre une autre langue d'origine latine par l' écrit plutôt que par l'oral. Si ces deux "youtubeurs " avaient parlés uniquement en Italien , je n'y aurait rien compris. Bien sûr , j'aurait pu utiliser "Google translate" pour leur répondre par écrit.
