Italy: Beautiful Lake Como and Bellagio

We take a ferry across the magnificent Lake Como. Passing by Villa del Balbianello, where the ending scene in James Bond: Casino Royale and one of the Star Wars movies were filmed (you can take a tour, but we were there on one of the days it was closed!) and float by Villa Carlotta. We end by walking through gardens of Giardini di Villa Melzi on Bellagio. Make sure to get a lemon drink after the gardens. And, we still don't know where George Clooney's house is.

I love the clipped trees next to one of the villas by the lake -I once read that the owners make their gardeners clip the trees using pairs of scissors so the the final look will be very fine and special.

Have been there in May 2000...20 years ago, also visited Milan and Switzerland border. The hotel is stayed facing lake como..how nice. Very beautiful at night. Before Italy was in Austria and Germany. I also love Turkey (been there in Dec 2016)...looking forward to go to Balkans but have to postphone due to COVID 19 pandemik.

I can’t for the life of me understand why any Italian people would leave a place this beautiful?! What camera did you use to take these stunning pictures or videos I should say? Incredibly smooth and honestly feels like I’m actually there looking at those views. My only selfish wish is that you made the video way longer! You can’t tire of scenery and architecture like that. Yes, it was a day trip. Nothing to book. Just take the ferry from Como all the way up the lake. Some of the ferries are more "express" , making less stops on the way. Our furthest destination was Bellagio. Then we took the bus back to Como.
