The range on Craig throughout the scene in the Square. He knows hems been cornered and that the gunfire will be inevitable- so he isn’t shocked by it. Then when Madeleine is begging him to do something as the gunshots get closer, he almost acts animalistic in his expression- as finally all the man he ever wanted to be has gone and he was prepared to let them both die. Then he looks her in the eyes, and it all fades back in for that sublime delivery of “okay”. Cue that score and the DB5 being truly heroic. What a sequence

That’s not how bulletproof doors/car panels work… but the glass is the most accurate depiction I’ve seen in movies.
@wallyg19832 жыл бұрын
Could you explain this? I’ve never understood the concepts of bulletproof and was wondering if movies depicted it correctly.
@patrickbateman93142 жыл бұрын
@@wallyg1983 outside skin or cars is normal car panels. The armor panels is sandwiched between the normal interior and exterior panels. You don’t see them. You can shoot the outside or inside of a car and the bullet goes inside the door as inside the paneling is the armored material. It’s typical flat panels as you can’t bend armored steel, you can bend composite but it’s more expensive but saves weight. So movies show armored car paneling with bullets always bouncing off the outside and no marks or holes. But really if the exterior skin is mild steel or normal material the bullet penetrates the outside layer leaving a hole but is stopped by the inside armored paneling (depending on the armor level and bullet used) for instance, AR500 shot by a 9mm or .223 will just have a very small indent on the armor, almost nonexistent but you’ll see a scuffing on the armor plate indicating a strike mark from the bullet. A larger round like a .308 or larger would leave a small indention on the armor steel that looks like a pimple on the backside. So this means if you look at the outside of the car you will see a hole in the exterior steel panels and if you look through the bullet holes you’ll see a armored panel sandwiched between the door panels and that will have strike marks on It. Fragments of the bullet will be left at the bottom of the inside of the door panels due to fragmentation of the rounds after impact on the armored panel. Simplest explanation. Nope It makes sense as I’m not the greatest at explaining. (Built armored cars for 8 years, mostly military vehicles)

@@thegreypath1777 Or maybe they just didn't like it very much. You can tell the writers struggled with the ending because of the uncertainty of whether Craig was going to do this film. Spectre was supposed to be the real ending, or at least Blofeld as the villain, but you can tell the writers were indecisive for that movie, which led to a new, random villain being introduced in the final movie. No Time To Die should have had Blofeld & Spectre as the final enemy, which would've been perfect as they were the enemy all along. The movie is not as great as it should've been, and even though it had some powerful scenes, it wasn't on the same level as Casino Royale and Skyfall which were the best movies of the Craig era by some distance

I like some of the 007 vehicles as well, take 007's BMW Z8 from the movie The World's Not Enough, and the white Lotus Esprit from the Spy Who Loved Me where it transforms into a submarine, or that red AMC Hornet from The Man with the Golden Gun doing that barrel roll from an incomplete bridge, but the 1964 Aston Martin DB5 tops them all! Wow! Thank goodness the bomb didn't blow him up from the explosion and I am so glad that it didn't kill him and he is so incredibly talented and relentless with his stunts when he knocks the guy off the motorcycle and he is running down the gravel path and I am definitely watching this movie during the holiday season. Daniel Craig is so abundantly brilliant with his moves and his shooting skills.

Possibly they didn't intend to kill him then and there, more sending a message.

Bcz he is hero. They can't die at the start of the film or atleast without killing the villian. If this movie was not western, westerners would have thought about physics and all.

He thought for sure Madeleine betrayed him. Like Vesper did in Venice, Italy when she took the money to Mr. White's henchman.

This James Bond action scene is one of the best Bond action i have ever seen .From the moment of the explosion at the cemetery to him been cornered, its just pure awesomeness. Great directing by Cary Fukinaga.

The guy with the left bionic eye is a better henchman than Hinx and Patrice tbh

I can't forget how amazing it was for me to watch this scene in the theatre, though the movie overall was an average one. Right from the gunbarrel sequence to when he puts her on the train, this is one of the best opening scenes in the history of Bond movies. I wanted to cheer loudly when that Aston Martin started shooting bullets....

Anyone who understands an Aston Martin of that caliber has to understand the most impressive part of all of this is how well he drove that vehicle. I tried to simulate a race of AM's of the same class and they are NOT easy to drive.

I wish I had miniguns built into my Fiat 500. Should be a factory option.

Madeleine : 6:31 I'd rather Die than using - Noone: Absolutely Noone: James Bond: 7:36 actually waiting to see if she would die.
