Due Vite is not a love song , it describes the two sides of us always in conflict trying to connect and find inner peace. He won the composition award. The lyrics are the best of the year

@@fapmashina1 Dobbiamo aspettarci l'inizio di una guerra per questo motivo? per favore va bene scherzare e divertirsi in questo contesto, ma dire che i Croati non dimenticheranno che la giuria italiana ha dato 0 punti alla Croazia mi sembra un pochino esagerato. Il televoto italiano ha invece assegnato dei punti alla Croazia. Ti dico una cosa: lo sai che l'anno in cui vinsero i Maneskin che sono diventati una band mondiale, nessuno dei paesi dei big5 assegnò neanche un punto all'Italia! Hai capito bene, ne Francia, ne Germania, ne UK, ne Spagna assegnò neanche un misero punto. Non per questo proviamo rancore verso questi paesi! Ciao caro!

@@fedes7520 No one said anything about starting any war over this but people do remember. In future probably there will be some backlash against Italian representatives. Many people in Croatia find Italians as their close neighbours and hence tend to get very emotional and offended in such things. Kind regards

Do you think is right prizing the political borders instead of music?… I'm Italian and Mama ŠČ was in my top 10, but if you see the final ranking you can't deny that not many people appreciate it. Italy doesn't look for point by no one, neither from San Marino (which always voted out of any border logic). If Croatia like italian music it's fine (and that's for artistic reasons), if not it's fine, but ask yourself why many countries like italian music, without any border in common. Italy is never been into ESC strategies, you should remember that as well, don't remember only what fits you.

@@giovannimoriggi5833 Actually everything that is happening at ESC has to do A LOT to strategy, lobbying, larger influence and visibility that have major and very populous countries, perceptions of later sucesses and so on, even politics! For instance, Sweden has been chosen very conveniently since theres 50th annyversary of ABBAs victory next year! Although, there were much better songs! To answer on your question: NO i don't think it's right but that is reality for the most part whether you like it or not! Croatian jury usually gives high points to Italy since Sanremo festival back in days had good reputation over here and also since some in Croatia but also across the whole Europe believe that ANY song, very much like shues or pizza from Italy has to be great! But there's also a tiny bit of looking after neighbours. This is in part also true for Slovenia and many others! I detest this logic and don't hold very fond feelings towards large or anyhow hyped countries that are easily coming through a lot of stuff just by the sheer innertion! I find this years Italian representative's song was extremely boring, uninspiring, pastiche and nothing special - somerhing that several music experts also confirmed in post ESC analysis who had analysed all entries! But it got throuhg very high up although noone's gonna remember or sing it which is also case with Sweden's song! At the other hand, Mama ŠČ was one of the most creative entries that this TRASH contest had ever in history, music/ lyrics wise, in terms of smart symbolism, hidden serious messages, styling, astonishing punk music alter-art meets opera arrangement and performance! But, Croatia is small country and at a top of all, had "scandalous" (I mean, men in their undies in 2023 while there's LOADS of almost naked ladies every year which is perfectly fine!) shocker this year that was to much to grasp to extremely ignorant, hypocrite, ill informed and above all ultra conservative juries that are leaning towards trivial balads and usual hybrid pop trash! To sumarize all, countries like Italy that are kind of a brand in music, can easily send very mediocre entry to say it very politely, and to end up very high up while others might send something genius that is very often gonna end up very low! Ps. All Scandinavia is voting for eachoters!

@@ericforsyth It wasn't particularly understood song, it's huge departure from the stereotypical mould in which 99% of the ESC songs are made and are usually more or less trivial or even nonsensical pastiche shallow balades and superficial generic pop with very little to none musical let alone artistic value! Ultra conservative, such balades and pop songs leaning juries that are, as it turns out, also very narrow minded, hypocritical and genre biased, tend to rule out, crush everything they can't grasp that isn't in line with their very puristic vision of what should be high quality song look like! And to be more absurd Mama ŠČ is by many music experts one of the most original and highly valuable entries since it has everything: criptic lyrics that convey very serious and actual messages, it has high music and artistic value, astonishing styling and cleverly arranged punk/ alter. art meets opera performance that is full of symbolism, all packed in high quality instrumentals and arrangements! But almost no-one from very hypocritical, ignorant and superficial juries payed as much as several minutes of their time at one nice thing called Google to check out what is this supposedly "joke entry" really all about, what's the history of Let 3 as the seasoned performers that are here from 1987., band that has been awarded multiple times for their music, had numerous collaborations with renowned theatre directors in highly sucessful theatre music productions.They would be famous if they were coming from England, USA, Sweden and if they've abandoned their native language and became uniformed and globalised! All of that was to hard for this unimaginably shallow, ignorant and narrow minded jury folks that do prefer easy mainstream stereotypical stuff and "safe" choices! I strongly disagree this was a weak song but it was to much to ask usual ESC fans but also juries to appreciates something that demands more knowledge and level of music culture!

Davvero pensi sia un merito che sono in tutte le classifiche del mondo a scapito degli artisti del resto del mondo? Pensi davvero che un Ed Sheeran abbia più numeri e talento di un Marco Mengoni? Svegliati e ti accorgerai d'incanto che nulla è casuale con la colonizzazione dei mercati. Domandati perché negli anni 70 era possibile vedere nelle nostre classifiche artisti da mezza europa regolarmente e oggi se va bene due successi l'anno in lingua non inglese...
