Hi! I am not done watching the video but have some questions. My sister and I are waiting to see if our trip to ROME, LONDON AND PARIS is still happening. I think it will and I wanted to know: Where do you guys change your dollars for Euros? Do you all do that together or do you do that in the states? Also, what kind of shoes did you wear? Tennis shoes? I really don't want to walk into the Vatican or in Paris with tennis shoes! Also, any other tips are appreciated!
@baileykormick2 жыл бұрын
Hi! My friend and I exchanged our currencies at our banks before we left, however a number of people in our group also waited until we got into those countries to exchange. I would recommend doing it before you leave, because it's one less thing you have to worry about once you arrive to your destination and you can focus on just taking it all in! Whatever you do, DON'T exchange at the airport though because they charge you the most. Your tour director will know local places in the city to go to exchange. I literally only brought one pair of white sneakers, because they're my favorite! lol My friend brought white sneakers, a pair of black flats and a pair of black boots. If I would have went to Paris I would have brought more shoes. I think any way you can mix casual with cute do it. Plus there may be a lot of days when you are on the tour bus that you can leave an extra pair of shoes in case you want to change. I can't think of any thing else right now, but message me again if you have any other questions! I'm going to post another video soon on everything I packed. Enjoy your trip! It's going to be SOOO amazing :)

How many people go in one group? And what was the average age (closer to 18 or closer to 29?? I'm 25 and don't want to be the oldest hahhaa) ? :D
@baileykormick2 жыл бұрын
There were 15-17 of us... I can't remember the exact number! Usually the groups are a little closer to 30, but due to covid and traveling by bus at some points they have to keep the numbers lower than usual. There were really people all over the place, but the average was definitely 23-26. We had two 19 year olds and a few people 28+. I highly doubt you'd be the oldest! We even had a married couple!

Loved this ! I am highly considering booking a trip with EF soon and seeing your vlog really helped. when you explored on your own did you end up meeting the rest of the group at one location and if so was there a specific time or did you meet back at the hostel when you wanted to return ? Did you share the hostel with people within your group or was it random people that were not part of the tour/group ?
@baileykormick2 жыл бұрын
After free time there is usually a specific spot to meet back with the group and time if its during the day. When you have the nights free though you can do whatever you want and come back whenever. In Salzburg, we took the bus into the city and got dinner and drinks. We didn't come back to the hostel until like 2:00 am. When we were in Switzerland, our hostel was right down town so we could easily walk everywhere. The hostel room is ONLY PEOPLE IN YOUR GROUP! There were also 2-3 other EF groups on the same trip that were in our hostels, but our sleeping rooms were only people we knew. There are other travelers in the hostel as well, so a great way to meet people from everywhere.

Hey girl! I went in late September and the weather was a little unpredictable ,I will say. Italy was warm... sometimes HOT. Austria was standard fall weather and I was comfortable in a light jacket and jeans. Germany and Switzerland I was pretty cold (I also run cold in general). I ended up having to buy a sweater because I didn't pack a heavy coat and I felt like I needed it. I think it if you went in early September the weather might be a little more consistent. But just note it will definitely be a few degrees colder in Germany & Switzerland no matter what.

Hi! Firstly, loved this video so much! Looks like so much fun. My friend and I are planning on doing this trip this coming summer. I have used EF before but that was before the pandemic. If this is too personal you don’t have to answer, but did you have to be vaccinated for this trip?
@baileykormick2 жыл бұрын
No worries, I was vaccinated already and you do need to be vaccinated for the trips now. Honestly, I don’t think you can travel anywhere outside the country without the vaccine. Most of the locations were very strict and we have to show our vaccine cards to get in restaurants, stores, even a McDonalds. Plus I don’t think you can get on any international flights without a vaccine as well! I hope this helps ☺️

I’ll be going on this same trip March of next year! Really looking forward to it. Quick question, how much time do you get set aside for free time?
@baileykormick2 жыл бұрын
Hey there! If you check your itinerary that’s on your EF profile, you can see a pretty good estimate of free time. However, the tour directors normally add extra excursions closer to the trip that they plan themselves. They’re obviously optional but those do normally take place during free time. I honestly never felt like I wanted more free time or that I was missing out on something because I didn’t have more free time. Basically every night after 6pm you’re free to do as you please too!

This video was amazing!! Did you feel as though there were any limitations on the trip bc of covid? I really want to do a trip with them before fall this year. But I've been skeptical bc of covid and the fear of limited activities in other countries.
@baileykormick2 жыл бұрын
For the most part, there were no limitations from covid. We were required to wear our masks in public places, public transportation, etc… (the standard rules). Take your vaccination card EVERYWHERE! We had to show that with our passport to get into most places, including restaurants/clubs/museums. Most countries also had additional forms (online or on printed documents) that we had to fill out and show or provide a QR code for them to scan. Luckily, your Tour Director handles ALL OF THAT! You just have to fill out what they provide, which makes it so easy and completely stress free. The only time we really ran into an issue was trying to get into a club in Switzerland. We could get the QR code’s to work and the bouncer wouldn’t except just our vaccine and passport. We actually went back the following night and everything worked fine though. I don’t think you should let covid deter you though. It’s still going to be an incredible trip and you’re going to love it. Also you can use my code UABailey100 when you book for $100 off your trip on top of whatever other deals are going on!

@baileykormick2 жыл бұрын
You can book as far out or last minute as you like. For this trip I booked in April to leave in September (so about 5-6 months). I put down about $500 at first, then my monthly payments were around $250-300. My sister and I booked an EF trip to Ireland in Nov 2021 for December 2022, so the payments are much lower… I think around $180 a month. You can pay as much up front as you’d like to make the monthly payments lower and booking far out in advance! I also have a trip booked for September 2023, so those payment are VERY low a month.
@baileykormick2 жыл бұрын

YES! Actually a lot of people in our group went solo. Darian and I ended up becoming really close with 3 of the solo travelers and we did most free time activities together in a smaller group. @baileykormick2 жыл бұрын
I have traveled with EF twice and am going again for New Years this year and again next fall. I have no had any issues with them, especially when my trip was cancelled and they helped us rebook for no extra costs immediately. I really liked all of hostels. They were clean and felt safe. We met some really cool people while staying in Italy, the hostel had a DJ and great outdoor area with a bar and lawn games. They were all a decent size too, they have single beds so you don’t have to sleep with anyone you don’t know.

Overall we had 6 girls that all came alone, a friend group of 4 girls, two pairs of girls (Darian and I being one of those pairs), one couple, one guy who came alone. We all honestly clicked instantly and I think that’s just something natural that happens on these types of trips.
