Oh I love Italy, the people, the food, the architecture, the weather, the shopping 😉. Hi Elayne great video. Sorrento is my favourite place. Was there a long time ago when I was younger with my daughter and we went up Vesuvius and did pompei and Capri and the Amalfi coast trip. I love all the little shopping lanes and restaurants. Went back again last year but being older now didn’t do any of that just chilled. You have made me want to book and go back again now. Xx

Awh Elayne , so pleased for you and David that you chose Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast. It is so beautiful there . After all the gloomy weather we have endured in the UK , the light on the coastline there is luminous. Also after the sad loss and hard times you have had since before Christmas , I hope it has been a restorative time for you. It made me tear up a bit because it brought memories back for me of 'me Mam ' , she passed almost 2 years ago . Omg we stayed there in 2019 it’s such a beautiful hotel x hope the donkey didn’t keep you awake lol we got used to him, there’s a lovely walk up the hill to another small town well worth a visit enjoy your time in sorrento a beautiful place and so visit the lemon trees a bit further down in sorrento they do the lovely lemon drink 😊😊😊😊😊 enjoy

Love your vlogs. We landed in Rome from America with a stop in Amsterdam and after all that had to get on a bus and drive over 3 hours to sorrento. Talk about jet lag. One of the most famous gelato cafes is in sorrento.love the vlogs

Hello there I've watched your channel from the beginning.. we have stayed in sorrento 4 times . The first time was 40 years ago in those days you went to the travel agent !!! We stayed in the centre of sorrento in the excelsior Victoria!!!!! Ten pound a week more than the others couldn't even afford a coffee there now we love sorrento we brought an inlaid wood musical hexagon lamp table too it cost £35 now very expensive . We love it so much we only go in May or September or October last year it's beautiful isn't but a nightmare in season I should imagine it has been such a treat to see your Italian adventure thankyou

Aww Carole thank you for sticking with me for so long 💕. David almost booked the Victoria but I found the other hotel as I didn't want to be in the centre and wanted the scenery ( it was cheaper to).
