Here is the great Itamar Borochov in the Monette shop having just taken delivery of his new prototype instrument, the first ever 4-Valve Monette Quarter Tone Trumpet! He explains quarter tones and how they can be used, and demonstrates his new trumpet, called the Monette RAJA P3Q.

That quarter tone in those blues scales sound so much more natural than in Western scale.

That African Blues Scale which he called Rast Pentatonic, is also referred to as Moorish Scale. Very common in Mauritania!
