Amongst the problem we're having is the lack of education of historical facts and tales of our ancestors. Before someone is made KING in those days there's something they call Ípébí. You can call it the process OR preparation to be crown. Its not just rituals, they also taught histories of the land and of our heritages. That's why most( Ípébi) then last for months or a year during those days. Let's go back to the drawing board !!

Don't go on about the 2 Aresas, that later happened later during Aresa Ikin and that was around 16th century. But the demarcation of land between Aresa and Olugbon happened before the division of Iresa BTW the 2 twins of Aresa Ikin. Ikoyi-ile from ikoyidile from olukoyi, ikoyi-ile was settled on Olugbon land. The founder was Olukunmi who met Olugbon entourage on their way to Oyo ile. He took them to Alaafin and Alaafin asked where did Olukunmi met them (Olu nibo lo ti koyi). He was given a charge to go and remain in that place, because in yoruba land anywhere where symbolic thing happened is a landmark.

Bro, please contact me before you talk on Aresa history, we can learn from each other. Aresa have masquerades and we have one on our roof since 1806 when our fathers moved to Ogbomoso. Baba truly made some mistakes and I think that might be age. In reality, both Asebiyi Asa and Olugbon left Ile-Ife to look for Oranyan to help him.
