1.2 is more reliable than 1.5 or 1.6 tdi. 1.5 and 1.6 have injector issues in long run.

Seems low for polo I drive vento and in cities till 80 it easily gives 15 with Delhi tragic traffic. And 18-19 on weekends. On highway however it's quite low when you stretch over 100. But till 100 it's good for 21-22 with 4 occupants. Get your car spark plugs and service done neatly you will get better mileage. Considering polo is 100kgs lighter it should give 18 combined easily.
