I will refer you to my uncle Prince Olawuyi Oyelayo Itabiyi the Mogaji of Aburumaku ruling House in Ogbomoso for more compelling facts about Aare-Onakakanfo Toyeje. He was the seventh. Afonja was the sixth. Toyeje spent all his 28 years as Aare fighting wars against the Fulanis to prevent them for conquering Ogbomoso. If the Fulanis had done, they would have penetrated the northern axis of Yorubaland thereby getting access to the sea. The ultimate plan of the Fulanis was to dig their daggers into the sea as a sign of total subjugation of the Yaribas {Yorubas) After due consultation with Ifa, Toyeje had to sacrifice two of his children a male and a female (both virgins) before the Fulanis were defeated. The monument is there at Ogbomoso near the king's palace.
