I checked the map for this market. I remember this place in the early 70s when I was still in high school. At the corner there, there's a movie place called Chenla. It was the only government movie theatre. We went there for free movie because.............

Those fishes in the baskets were salted, steamed, and refrigerated. They are bought and used for many different kinds of dishes.

@@itchyfeetonthecheap they are steamed in those baskets, and so transported in them too to the market. They are cheaper than fresh water fishes, so people who cant afford to eat fresh water fishes buy them instead.
