The one that I ordered has finally been delivered to me after a two week delay for reasons unknown to me. I opened up the box, inspected the contents and plugged it in to charge fully before using it per the instructions. After running it for the first ten minutes using clean tap water, I tested the purity of my city water after going through the machine RO process and am very satisfied it will be my "go to" for drinking water when needed. I ordered more hybrid and RO filters just in case they are not available in the future after the collapse of the US economy. They will provide a longer extra time to be of use.

Yes, they had a worldwide rush of orders and are now catching up on the manufactured supply. I actually made my video in January and at the last minute they asked me to delay it being posted publicly because they had a temporary shortage of available of product.

The Cuban Missile Crisis prompted the "Red alert, Yellow alert" drills in schools. I remember being terrified by the prospect of having to leave my dead/ injured teacher to find my way to the cafeteria for shelter. @@JCTravelStories Yes, it is. I'm due to refresh my filters and researching - I've been unsure of it for a while and especially of late because of sudden, serious, unexplained GI distress. I wish this unit had a longer than 2 year warranty, because their starter 6 filter set will last me 4 years. There are a few negative reviews on YT, too. Really appreciate your in depth analysis.

I bought one of these filters and I was very happy with the way it filtered. My problem was the battery life was only 20-24 minutes before it needed recharging. No way I could get the advertised 27 liters per charge. The manual is poor. I am returning it unless their customer support can give me a satisfactory resolution in the next few days.

Thanks for the feed back. I use it in my RV so power is not an issue. What do you do that requires 27 liters …. 7.13 gallons …. between the times you have access to power? Did you get the solar panel?

@@JCTravelStories I think the product should have the advertised battery life. Mine was only about one-third of what it should have been. Also, I'd like to have the filter as a backup to city water during a major weather event (no power, no water). FYI, ITEHIL is sending me a new filter. Hopefully, the battery life will be better.

If you're worried about mineral loss put a pinch of pink salt in your glass. That will replace any missing minerals.

Hi again. I hope they have good support, because I bought the whole biscuit with extra filters soon after seeing this and other reviews. Today, October 9, hurricane Milton is rolling in and the machine stopped. Runs and pumps nothing. Lights on it are nuts as is operation while connected to ac. Takes forever to charge and I've yet to get the outlet hoses off, so now have it almost permanently set up on my kitchen counter, just what I didn't want to do. I'm a single person, so absolutely didn't use near the limit on the filters. Will let you know how they respond. When I first ordered, it took two weeks to address my concerns about the order and that was after the machine was shipped.

No. It’s a lithium battery, but you can get the solar charger, or just run it off of 120 Ac with the adapter.

Mine was in storage for 6 months with the filters installed. I ran about a quart of clean water through it and then tested it with my Kactoily drinking water tester and it was 98% pure …. Very drinkable.

The question isn't what those letters mean, it's whether the certifications - and the RO membrane - are real. I wouldn't trust certifications like this without double-checking with those organizations to ascertain whether or not they are real. Many companies have claimed certifications that never happened. Many products aren't worth the trouble of verifying certifications because they don't risk your life by trusting them. This one does. You can't tell by the taste, either. Some filters can neutralize tastes without actually filtering out the dangerous stuff.

I don't think you should buy one. You'll worry yourself to death. You saw the tank I drank out of. After several weeks, my gut tells me the filter did the job as advertised and I trust my body more than any certification.

Another youtube video showed a bacteria test of dirty source water and ITEHIL RO water. After a few days, ITEHIL RO water showed no presence of bacteria.

How do you know when the battery is fully charged? Mine goes from flashing red to steady red but then back to flashing red. There is no explanation at all in the manual.

Good question. I don’t know the answer and I didn’t really pay attention to it a couple of times I’ve charged it. I was charging it before it needed it with the solar panel and just took the panel away when the sun went down.

Same thing here. It keeps on flashing red even after 10 hours of charging. When does it say fully charged? I sent ITEHIL an email and reply form on their website. No response after 24 hours.

just got mine. didn't get the extra cable or the 120volt charging thing. or the wrench for the water hose that screws into the side of the machine.

Hmmm. It all came together for the test kit. You should contact customer service. The solar panel is extra, but the charger thing you note should have come with the purifier. You don't need a wrench for the intake hose. Hand tighten it. It’s a compression fitting.
