Beautiful technique. I admire your workflow and the ethos behind it. Now in 2023 with component props and figma variables it's easier but for anyone watching this video, i recommend to first create a variant from main component and then drag that variant outside the purple box Figma automatically creates, that way you preserve the component props if you are not using the plugin.

Great video! I wish you 1 million subscribers :D Pleasant to listen to your voice and great at explaining! Can you please make a video about prototype triggers, when to use each, what each does, and the difference? I am currently confused about "Mouse leave" and "while hovering"

Do you typically do this exploration in a seperate file than your main project? I ask because wouldn't this method leave you with a ton off extra components to clear up once you've finished. - p.s thanks for great videos

Yup, definitely! I like to have "shaping" files where I can get really messy without distracting everyone else with a bunch of exploratory frames or local components.

I love Master too, question, Did you still use it, now that we have the component properties?
@ridd2 жыл бұрын
Oh ya all the time. It's still the crux of my workflow when I'm doing exploratory work.

@@ridd OMG thank you for reminding me about Master. I need to leverage that again, especially since I paid for it 😆

Do you still use this method or have changed up your workflow with the new Figma updates?

Still do it!

What if instead of "Creativity Faucet" we call it "Iterative Design System" ?
