I'm really impressed with LottieFiles! But is there any way to include drop shadows in my animations? For me they always break when I animate shapes with drop shadows on them in Figma

Is there a way to write to a database using this?

*Be careful with this wrapper.* This works just fine for simple components, but these kinds of containers are very buggy in terms of component overrides. Whenever you nest IconWrapper inside another component and you override the color of the icon, component override would stop working as soon as you change the multiple nested components variants of the button. That's the reason i stopped using them and instead embed the icon sizes directly into bigger components. *Note:* Naming it consistently works, but only for components which embed the IconWrapper 1 layer deep. As soon as you nest the IconWrapper component within other component variants (Button Frame -> Button Label -> [Text, IconWrapper]), then it breaks when you change variants of the inner components (for example Button Label component variant)

Years of experience makes a HUGEEEEEE impact! DO NOT EXCLUDE THAT EVER!!! The only caveat is that it must be over 3+ yrs to hold scoring weight. Anything below that will crush you and cause the opposite. I’m saying this because I build the worlds most accurate & effective resume prediction model on earth :). And this is something I did not expect to find. Anyway hope that helps. Also make a very small list of skills that seem obvious but are always looked for

Really helpful, I was missing this approach in my one variant which include 5 types of button with five states of each and 3 sizes of each button , in total 384 buttons in one variant 😭

Is there a way to turn the size variant off when this component is nested in another component? I’d like for other designers to be able to change the icon, but not the size for instance.

Love this, I've been animating for a bit now and agree about AE, it can be very scary when you first open it. The airplane was my fav but understand your sentiment ;)

Can't figure out how to get an animation to end as the final frame. It always loops... even when I turn loop off it will go to the first frame at the end

@@ridd Thx that's very tempting ! I was really interested in the certificate tho. Will think about it. What do mean in the FAQ when you say you have access to the curriculum if you purchase a seat? I do have a seat for Figma

@@fabienrousselot7460 seat is just how I refer to an enrollment 😅 I do a lot of team deals so that language carried over I guess. And I don't actually have another cohort scheduled right now. About to go heads down on a new startup for a while and will see if it makes sense to start it back up after Config :)

Ridd, you're a lifesaver! I have watched so many videos on prototyping with variables and this video is by far the best. I love how you take time to explain the concepts, details and steps! A lot of other videos about this skip over this stuff making them hard to follow and understand.

2:40 such a good tip and I do this too, especially with iconography design. Now with Figma's built-in "Split view" it makes it really easy. Otherwise, the classic way is File -> New Window. 3:56 💯 agree - so many designers I've worked with struggle to think/work this way though.
