ITero Scanning like a PRO

Scanning like a pro! There are a lot of tips in this video that will help make your assistant and doctor scans FAST, perfectly clear for restorative or diagnostic work ups, and create excellent Aligner results (capturing all undercuts on terminal molars). Shout out to Jaime Miller RDH for the OLB method. This method can be used with all scanners. We use this on every patient once per year.
Tips:
Always scan with Invisalign + iRecord
-Have patient do "Airfloss" to remove saliva on the teeth
Scan in this order for precisions, not just speed (there are faster scan techniques, but i've never found one more repeatedly accurate as this) Occlusal, Lingual, Buccal (OLB)
-Use the wand to change screens by clicking both bottons and swiping right (like your tinder profile).
-Roll over the incisors.
-Scan the bite by just capturing the teeth together the rolling up to the mucosa on maxilla and down to the mucosa on mandible. Very quick, and don't need to wait for the itero to catch up.
Don't shot off the wand unless switching arches.

Thank you for sharing! I really enjoyed this and wasn't expecting "Old Lady Butt" lol because I learned it as Old Lady Becky and I thought that's what you were going to say too lol so you can imagine my laugh at that last part! I love it! I realized this video was posted last year but I wonder if you'll be able to answer my question. We run our ITero on wifi at my workplace and it definitely does not scan as fast as I saw your scan!!! So I'm wondering if our problem is the internet speed and wanted to ask you how your ITero is connected? Is it hardwired to the internet vs wifi and is that something easy to do? It's really annoying how slow our scanner is - it takes a long time to fill in the data and freezes ALOT of the times. Appreciate your help on this! Ty

That wad needs a redesign - too heavy and the tip of the wand shouldn't be "edgy" it should be rounded out like an intraoral camera.
