it's weird because makeup never really nesesarily was considered girly. going way back in times, it was considered depending on high class, or protection. for example in Egypt, the black eyeliner was for protecting the eyes of certain diseases, and it was from black beetles.

truth be told, her ex-husband always gave me this really controlling vibe and she just isn't that way. she's so chill and he gave off this really suffocating vibe when he was around her. she always seemed slightly tense or like she had to try extra hard around him. idk. i don't think he's a bad person by any means, i just don't know about how compatible they truly were, however, i refrained from saying anything because it's her relationship and none of my business, you know?

I've found it works really well and is crazy quick to just use the black eye-shadow for both liner and smudgy, black lids. You can usually wet your brush to get it to go on like a liquid liner too. And shadows smudge SO nicely. It's like a two minutes flat goth eye. Super easy and looks amazing. Great tutorial though. Hits all the important points. And I love your own eye look here, with that long, extended cat eye going on. Just wow.

I really enjoyed this post. I have only recently started experimenting with make up as I came 'over' to Goth from being just metal for 26 years (I am now 43). I have tried the liquid eyeliners but don't like them at all. Nail varnish is the obvious black but I also like a very deep purple. As I have facial hair, I have never tried the foundation, I may well give it a go when I wear my trad gear perhaps.

I think he'd look good with either a crimson shade of lipstick like that deep matte with a hint of black to outline the lips, or go all traditional and apply some black lipstick. This is an awesome tutorial video. You may want to try one on Goth lite (for us workplace Goths who can't be as beautiful as we want to except on our days off). I guess that would make workplace Goths= weekend Goths. Ha! 😁 You both make a ghoulish cute couple.

Great video! Thanks so much for all of the detailed information. I am curious though: what do you do for eyebrows? Mine are brown. They are not super thick either, a bit on the thin side really. Do you just dye them black along with your head hair? Or is there a more temporary solution to darken them and add the appearance of a little more volume to them maybe? And what about facial hair (short beards & mustaches)? Should that just be dyed black permanently? Or is there also maybe a temporary solution to blacken them as well? What's the best way to apply all of this makeup around a beard anyways? Do you have to apply the white makeup between the hairs or something? Thanks again for the great video!
