ITIWIT Kayak - Anglesey, Penrhos beach to Stanley Causeway

This was our first sea outing in the ITIWIT kayak 3 and it performed excellently! We walked around the cliffs at low tide on the previous day to check the route for anything that might be of concern but it all looked good. At high tide the following day we began our amazing adventure!!
Safety tips: -
Wetsuits - We were sometimes far out at sea, not just by the beach
Buoyancy aids - Again, as above.
Pump - Just in case 1 of the 5 valves became loose.
Food and drinks - plenty of water / a flask
Footwear - Due to jagged rocks on land and under the surface of the water.
Hats - Against the sun.
1st Aid kit
A throwing line
Mobile phone... and a dry sack or 2.

Hi, thanks for watching. When planning our trip I usually allow for 2.5 miles per hour (around 3.5 KPH) not allowing for wind and tide. Hope this helps.

The 3 seat version is on sale for less than the 2 seat. Do you think the 3 seat is usable by one person?

Yes especially when carrying gear. The seat can be put anywhere so just have a quick test that you're floating evenly (or slightly more weight toward the back) and away you go.

How do you find these in the sea? We have two of these and so far have only used them on lakes and canals.

What oars are you using ? Is that Intex oar ?

I think the black paddle was is an Intex 4-piece. The blue one I've had for many years.

@@teawithq3351 I got the same one now. Seems will do the job and smaller than 2 section ones. Are you attaching fin under kayak in those shallow waters ?

Paddles? Oars are on rowing boats. The black paddle came from our Intex Challenger yes. The Blue one I've for a while.
