RollPlay: Pride of Vanderhorn - Part 4

The original cast always gets me, they gave me the best laughs from all of the shows. It would make me so happy if we could get a group as good as this one for another long running show, I feel like shorts don't really do justice to what awesome RP experiences can be (legends like Bregor or Vincent aren't born out of 4 hour sessions, you need endless streaks of 1s before things really sink in, and plots need room to grown and breath too). Oh well, I guess I'll have to rewatch the original run again! XD

I agree no matter what adventure they were on they always had me laughing and i actually also like Neal as a DM because his very hard rules created some of the best moments.

Neal is a pretty damn good DM. His flaw, if we want to call it this way, is that sometimes there was a mismatch between what the players wanted (a laid back campaign) vs what he wanted (a slightly more challenging experience). At least, that's the impression I got, maybe a problem of communication. Of course, he also made mistakes here and there, like everyone does from time to time. On the topic of DM, I like Adam the least, despite him being in the DM seat for several gems (I think I liked Mirrorshades and Swan Song despite him, rather than thanks to him). I prefer Adam as a player, most of the times. I liked Steven a lot too, so sad to see him go. Actually there is a campaign with both Steven and Neal as players over at Missclicks, I am considering checking that one out (but finding the time is hard XD).

That Missclicks campaign sounds very interesting, and yeah i liked Adam the least as well, as a player i thought he was very good in West Marches. The problem i have with him mainly tho is that he is the GM for 80% of the shows now and i feel like there is a lack of variation.

I think the lack of changes for the GM is probably part of the business side of the operation (I believe Adam is more or less "hired" by JP), so I don't know if and how it will change. I was disappointed in both Court of Swords and Nebula Jazz (despite me liking the players, I found the setting of Court of Swords kind of bland and completely underused, while I didn't like NJ ruleset), so now I am only following blades (which is going through scheduling woes), maybe I should give these shows another spin, though.

Adams world in Court of Swords can be quite fun, I do remember a great moment where jps character finds out that the mail service is operated by people who believe that everything comes down to luck and won't guarantee him that his mail gets delivered XD

I miss this crew, these guys are the reason it play and party how I play table top games. God damn that was fun. Wish we could all have more if it is possible to run a full on game with this cast.

There should be continuation or at least something similar. Not necessarily by the same original cast. Maybe have other Starcraft personalities do it. But definitely need a real DD-5e game starting from actual level 1. Since Court of Swords sucks complete garbage. Whoever this is, isn't even a bad DM. And yes, it would be good to actually see a regular Starcraft show covering the latest stuff about SC2. The recent Intel finals was amazing. Code-S is super exciting right now. There was no reason to cancel the show that is still needed to cover SC2 esports.
