In 1997 Till was asked about the meaning Tier lyrics. He answered: "Tiere wie Hunde oder Ratten paaren sich untereinander, aber da gibt es keinen Inzest in diesem Sinne. Das ist Natur. Aber der Mensch hat die Möglichkeit, bewußt zu denken, und wenn ein Vater beim Anblick seiner Tochter, die er selbst gezeugt hat, geil wird, dann ist das nicht mehr natürlich, sondern krank. Darum geht es in diesem Lied, daß man den Grad zwischen Trieb und Vernunft auf die Tafel malt. I was there! My first Rammstein concert! :D I don't understand the translation "Life lines to her childhood". The word "entseelte Zeilen" literally means "un-souled lines". In the verse it is described that she kills her father and by the letter to herself, this is represented as suicide.

Great, thanks. And you`re right the old ones are golden! I was there too, not in Berlin but in Dresden 1998, same concert. Unforgettable! Did you do "Sehnsucht" already? Berlin 98 is the best, don`t know if it`s with subs, though. "Spieluhr" and "Alter Mann" come with subs , they`re awesome too.

Since nobody has actually sent the list the album is named Sehnsucht the following is the track listing from that 1997 album. On a side note... One of my favorite albums. Many a day i would go to the library to try and translate the lyrics, but some of the words i can't find a translation for due to the area and social standing in Germany. For example: goodbye: Auf Wiedersehen... It is also tschüss when speaking informally. Point is there's a different dialect for whichever neighboring country you are close by, and each of those has a formal, informal, and slang so you can imagine how hard it was to actually translate a word when the internet was 4 years old 1. There's another history behind of this video. Richard Kruspe's daughter appears in this song locked in a hanging-prison cell as part of the show. She is Khira Li Lindemann (Lidemann's ex-wife was married with Richard lol) and she felt quite afraid during the song since this track contains adult lyrics about incest. Years later, Richard said in some interviews "I just wanted show to my daughter what's my job and what I do to live and pay the rent". Good reaction and I will tell you a different story in your next song :)

Also Im sure she understands the difference between her dad and his friends being on stage and her dad and his friends as normal people 😂 Idk kids arent IDIOTS. And Im sure this was discussed beforehand with the kid and her mom😂 Is it kinda wierd to bring your kid to your concert where your friend sings the most insane shit ever? maybe? Man this song goes so hard. Definitely cant listen to it without headphones bc my parents would question my sanity. But damn. Honestly I have to say I love every single Rammstein era. I hear some people only like the old stuff or only the new, but I cant relate. I love both. Like this song goes so hard! (As do all the others e.g. Alter Mann (underrated and my current favourite), Wollt ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen, Rammstein, Du riechst so gut, Asche zu Asche, Seemann, etc.) But their newer stuff also goes hard, just in a different way. Their newest Album definitely has some of my favourite songs (Zeit, Adieu, Meine Tränen, SCHWARZ I would die for this song idk WHY) Idk I think its cool that you can definitely hear a shift, a change in their music. And it makes sense too, bc obviously you dont wanna be one note. Idk I feel like Rammstein and Queen are the two bands where I will listen to every single Album. (I still have my faves and least faves), but usually I only listen to a few songs of any given artists. Again Queen and Rammstein being the two exceptions 😂 Edit: Take a shot every time I say "like" "it goes hard" or "idk" 😂

I bought both the video and dvd of this show (Live Aus Berlin). I remember that during a certain part of this song they actually had a young girl up above the stage with lights on her. Not sure if in versions since they edited her out? It was a bit creepy knowing afterwards what the song is about.

Good reaction. I want to introduce you to a Korean singer. She is such an amazing singer and you won't stop being blown away by her every performance! She originally started out as a Gospel Singer in her church and worked her way up from there. But the reason why she is not mainstream and everywhere is since her reasoning for singing is not for fame or money but to sing for God. Michael Jackson's vocal coach once offered to make her a big star worldwide but she declined politely. She had cervical cancer when she was young, but now she's much better.
