I tried to make the same configuration, I made it till MPLS VPN configuration Part 2, but the issue is, its not showing me eigrp routes on CE side and PE side on both of the sides. could you tell me the reason, commands are same, i can ping vrfs , I can see eigrp using show run | sec eigrp but can not see using sh ip route vrf or sh ip route vrf eigrp. please help.

During the whole series of Videos regarding MPLS-VPN, I couldnt get the use of MPLS. I hear MP-BGP most of the time but not MPLS. Could you please clarify what's the MPLS role in the whole scenario of MPLS-VPN? Questions like what will be transport layer? BGP used for signalling only? Appreciate your efforts.

Follow the complete configuration on all PE routers. (config) # ip vrf (config-vrf) # rd n:n (config-vrf) # route-target export x:x (config-vrf) # route-target import y:y Note: rd value must be same on the both sides 6) Configure BGP (on all routers or on all the PE routers) and follow these steps i. (Activate neighbor in IPV4) Address-family ipv4 Neighbor 1.2.3.4 activate ii. (Activate neighbor in VPN4 Tunnel) Address-family vpnv4 Neighbor 1.2.3.4 activate Neighbor 1.2.3.4 send-community extended iii. (Redistribution of IGP of CE into the BGP) Address-family ipv4 vrf Redistribute eigrp 100 (CE AS no.) or Redistribute ospf 1 subnet 7) Configure IGP on PE i.
