I got to fly on United Airlines original Boeing 777 200 from Denver to San Francisco with the new interior in economy plus. It was nice having the touch screen on such an old plane.

That’s a lot of renovations on a 26 year old plane. Delta has a 900 mile minimum for First Class meals service, so United beats them on that. And Delta serves canned wine! Please tell me that your sparkling wine came out of a bottle. I agree that the hard bulkhead separating F from Y is so much better than the little plastic hanging card. Great video as always!

Yes, trust me I have a strong biased against canned wine haha, if they had served it, I would've pointed it out! Second refill on the wine she did pour it straight from the bottle

I flew the 757-200 from SFO-BOS-LAX. though they were updated before the United NEXT program was announced, they are updated to the latest standards with seatback IFE and the same seats as in the 737 MAXs. Hopefully, I come across one of the retrofitted 737 NGs or Airbus A319/A320. However, I am most excited for the A321 NEOs that will start flying in December.

I gotta say I like the UA recorded announcements better than the ones on AA. There’s just something about them that feels so calming. From what I’ve heard the ViaSat upgrades are separate retrofits than the Signature interior but I never got an official confirmation of that theory. If anyone knows if this is true or not please lmk.

Hey great video and report as usual. I always get a laugh out of your unexpected typos - this time it was "bed" instead of "bread" lol. BTW, although it was terrible for upgrades, I miss the old days when the A319 only had 8 first class seats, as you always got such good service since the first class was so small. Very fond memories of flying transcon in F on the A319 and the drink refills were constant!

Great vid kiddo!!! So used to flying domestic F I forget that "biz" comes with UC access. Last flight had no time to spare. Ran from ORD F to C31 in 10 minutes at arrive at T-15 :O I also got to fly on one of those - fun fact each coat hangar is labelled with your seat number.

Great trip report! I wish UA had copied DL’s PSU design which looks great but this is certainly a pleasant change from AA who is taking stuff away. Also seems like UA is really paying attention to better legroom, at least in first and E+. Coach is still bad unless you are only 5 feet tall. But great trip report! Thanks for doing this.

Depends on the plane. If it’s a longer plane 737-900 or MAX9 or 757, coach legroom good, if shorter plane like -800/700 or A319/A320, legroom bad in coach

I’m constantly amazed that seat designers add so called “wings” to Premium Economy/US First seats that are no bigger than an inch and do nothing for privacy or comfort to rest your head against. Enough of my rant 😊 Great video and nice purple LED lighting.✈️

Yeah, I agree, for me the wings are more of an aesthetic design feature, but like you said, they add no privacy to the seat.

The reason behind these wings is because this is the latest design from Safran and that’s all Safran makes for this type of seat now. Breeze Airways uses the same design as United. Are you gonna rant about Breeze too?

Last year I experienced United's new cabin on a Max 9, and earlier this year on a Max 8. I feel like it should be the standard for all US airlines. Unfortunately, American probably won't do it, so as someone who lives in Charlotte, an AA hub, I will be suffering for years to come, except for those occasions when I choose to fly Delta, United or JetBlue.

Its not on these seats, long story short, these are refurbished versions of the 2016 seats, while the ones with the wireless chargers are actually a different seat all together, thats only found on 800 retrofits and the NEO as of right now

It looks like a great flight! I was disappointed to see that only water and juice were offered as a pre-departure beverage. Was there a reason for this such as the flight was late and didn’t have the full boarding time?

Well unfortunately, UA's PDB service is very inconsistent, the standard should be Water, OJ, or Champagne (or mimosas). Nearly every flight I've had has been either that or a variation of those 3. Only rarely, like VERY rarely, have I had an FA ask me for my drink of choice.

@@ITripReport Alaska offers me a drink of my choice in first class- even on 38-minute flights on regional jets. (glassware came when we were in the air). When I flew United Express first class on the CRJ-700, I was offered water or OJ on the first flight, and just water on the second.

Slow down on the captions. I’m a fast reader and most of them were disappearing as I reached the last word. This isn’t a race. Also, put your script through a legitimate grammar check before you put it into the video. Hire someone if you have to. Things like improper use of apostrophes (e.g. club’s) and missing commas shoot credibility way down. It does the same thing to production value.

Looks a lot better than their old Continental era Airbus cabins. Last United flight I was on was on a 737-900 last year, not sure if it was the new cabin or not, it was fine for a 2.5hr flight maybe not as nice as Alaska but for 30in pitch it felt fine.

CO never flew the Airbus narrow bodies. They were a Boeing only carrier at merger. The 319/320s are legacy US ordered back in the 90s
