@@Nanna-M I know what you mean. We had our 2nd car for over 17 years and it has been good to lend it to our children when they’ve needed it as well. Very economical. Our daughter used it for 4 years in London. It really lasted well but came to its end in January. We’ve replaced it with a Ford Fiesta. We’re very happy with it and hope it lasts as long. So a similar story to yours. Enjoy your week. xx

Hmm lovely soup. Not made Pea and Ham for a while usually use the ham juice to make Cawl - a Welsh dish with lots of leeks and root veg in as well. Real warming soup. Took me many years before my late husband told me I was making it as good as his mum! Yes! Victory! I was interested to hear you had bought the Eco Sport as I am undecided whether to change my car and had been looking at that Ford. So do give us an update how it is going. Your dress for Aunty’s bash looked so nice. That was an excellent buy. Nice to get dressed up isn’t it? I have been to a family lunch 13 plus two toddlers - my great granddaughters Bonnie and Fern. Aw how nice of your husband to say that to you, I decided on the eco sport because, it’s higher, so easier to get in and out of, the back door opens like a door, so shopping is much easier to put in and get out, you don’t have to lift it over like a boot, just slide it out. I can see much better because you can adjust the seat up, forwards, exactly where you need it. It’s the same length and width as the fiesta, just taller. Mines petrol, and manual, I don’t feel ready for an electric one yet. I can highly recommend it , I’m loving it. Obviously it’s got things I done even know yet, I’m still learning, but I don’t think you’ll be disappointed if you get one. Go for a test drive, I would. Happy car shopping ❤️🥰❤️

Love the dress,and that belt is perfect.The hall turnout beautiful,love the tiles.Congratulations on the new car,I gave up my car as it’s not practical in NYC,no parking anywhere,but I miss it when grocery shopping,I would go to New Jersey to shop if I still had it.I make pea soup,but I must use a lot more peas than you,because mine is always so thick,I soak my peas,but no bicarbonate,reminds me of my Mothers overcooked vegetables,which I would never eat,it’s funny because now I eat just about all vegetables.See you soon Lynn😊❤😊

My soup thickens up as it sits, I just didn’t show it because I ran out of time, and I suppose it depends on how much stock you have left over from the gammon. Hi, my sweet friend, Hope you enjoyed the celebration. Had my mother-in-law with us till she was 99. We were all looking forward to celebrating her 100th birthday, but she didn't make it, unfortunately. Died just a few months shy of her birthday. Thought she would outlive us all to tell you the truth. She was one of a kind, for sure. Stubborn as a mule. She was German, so that tells you why. Never a dull moment with her. I really do miss her. It's been about 4 years now, since she's gone. So glad you are enjoying your new car. And the entryway looks so lovely. You are making better progress than I am, for sure. I try to get things done, and it seems like something always happens to interrupt me, and then I get sidetracked. It's a slow process. But I'll probably take pictures next week anyway and send them to you so you can see some of it anyway. I was finally able to get out yesterday and got my errands done that needed to get done. Was out for a few hours and was glad to get home. I still have to bring my car to put gas in the tank. I did bring it to the car wash. It was so dirty from all the bad weather we had last week. My poor car looked terrible. If the weather stays nice, I plan to finally get to the pressure washing this upcoming week. Lots of stomach trouble and that slows me down also. Every now and again, my stomach gives me lots of problems and I don't get anything done then. Feeling much better now, though, thank God. The soup looked delicious, and I bet it tasted great. You looked so lovely in that dress, and yes I agree the belt you had with it looked perfect. I bet you got lots of compliments at the party. Any more news on the heart monitor as to when you will be getting it? It honestly worries me that it's taking so long for them to get to the bottom of what's going on with your heart. Trying to work in the craft room is like having to try to get it done with two toddlers underfoot, when it's actually two cats. They have to be in the middle of everything I do. Especially the female cat, we call her Belle. She constantly wants my attention. It's my fault, as I spoiled her as a baby, and now I'm paying the price. Hahaha. The jokes on me, I guess. In between it all, I'm still working on the Christmas quilt, and I'm behind on that. Cut all the parts out for the fourth square, but still haven't put it together. Another thing on my list to get done. Not behind yet, though, as I still have all the rest of this month to get it done. I don't want to get behind on that. I hate playing catch up. Well, beautiful Lynn, I've taken up enough of your time. I hope that you have a great day and that you can find what you need for the light and picture so you can finish up that room and then, as you say, on to the next project. Hello my love, I had a wonderful time thank you, consumed too much alcohol, laughed so much that I had a croaky voice all day yesterday on top of a hangover, never got dressed haha never mind….aw bless your mum in law, so sad that she never got to celebrate 100 years 😢 from the way you have described her she sounds like she was a hoot to be around lol. I had my last car over 10 years so she served me well, my daughter bought her brand new, and then left for Australia so I bought the car from her, and I’ve had it ever since, so time for a new one, and I love it, it’s much higher, so easier to get in and out, and the boot opens like a door,so easier for shopping. I’m very happy with the way the little entry turned out, it’s been bugging me lol. I’m sure you’ll finish your craft room eventually, it’s a much bigger task than a little hallway. I know exactly what you mean by getting sidetracked because it happens to me all too often. The weather here today is heavy rain rain rain, but I have to go to the dentist, luckily I can park quite close and then dash. Oh I’m sorry about your tummy troubles, it seems we have that in common 🙄 I’m glad it’s settled down now though 🙂 yes the soup is delicious, I didn’t want to waste that lovely stock, too much goodness to waste. The dress was a hit 👏🏻 yes I go to be fitted on the 8th May, then return it on the 9th, but no news about the scan as yet. Aw I bet they are so cute though, and it will be like a huge playpen for them won’t it, how can you not spoil a kitten though, impossible 😍 I’m sure you’ll complete it, I find that once I start I crack on, it’s just motivating myself to get started that’s the problem lol 😂 oh this house needs a much more work, but it’ll get done eventually, I don’t stress about it anymore, it is what it is, as you say, never ending task. Oh Lynn, soaking peas reminds me of such happy memories when I was a child. My Aunty always soaked her peas for pease pudding. Delicious, hence I LOVE marrowfat peas. Pkt trifle sponges cubed 4. 8 oz cream cheese or cottage cheese 5. 3 oz butter or marg 6. 2oz sugar 7. 2oz chopped mixed nuts 8. 2oz glazed cherries 1/4 d 9. 2 tablespoons milk To decorate glazed cherries & chopped nuts Method 1 x 1/2 pint or a bit bigger dish something like a loaf tin. Melt lime jelly in 1/4 pint of water remove from heat & add the 1/2 pint of water that's left. Put on one side. Put cream cheese, butter & sugar into bowl & cream together. Add nuts , cherries & milk. Beat till well blended. Place layer of sponge cubes in loaf tin, pour 1/3 rd of jelly on sponges then then spread 1/2 cream cheese mixture on top of sponges then another layer of sponges, pour over 1/2 of remaining jelly, spread remaining cream cheese mixture on top, top up with rest of sponge & jelly, cover with cling film or such like & chill for at least 2 hours. Turn out & decorate with cherries & nuts. Hope you can understand this Lynn, I wrote the recipe down about 50 years ago & the paper is a bit tatty now, I must rewrite it while I can still make it out lol. Anyway I hope you enjoy it. Hi Shirley, yes I think a ham shank is the traditional way to make it, we like the gammon, only ever eat half, so this is just my way of using up the stock, and the rest of the gammon, and it is delish I have to say. I would love some bread and butter, unfortunately I’ve cut bread out for a while, it upsets my tummy. Thank you so much, lovely compliments ❤️🥰❤️
