Its a HUGE week for making gold in Cataclysm Classic

This week we had news about the future of Darkmoon Faire in Cataclysm Classic, here is my reaction to how that will be impacting the DMF gold making. Also, my top sellers of the week (& a flop or two).

Maybe I’m doing stuff the wrong way, but I find it kinda hard to make Gold in cata. I have tailoring;Alchemy;JC;Enchanting and Inscription and most of those are very small margin of Gold or not profitable at all.. 😢 Farming is decent though, but not how I Want to spend my time 😂

Hey. sorry for the delay, I've not been getting notifications this week - I've found glyphs really good, though prices dropped a lot this week - enchanting also seems decent but you have to wade through all the 9s enchants people are using to level.

Been buying up Pyrite/Elementium to prospect for gems. Cut 1/2 of the rare gems that i have recipes for to sell and list the rest raw. Use the jaspers to make rings to to DE, and Use half the volatiles i get from pyrite to make hardened Elementium. With ores alone i maanged to diversify what I'm selling. Turned a 1k investment yesterday into 11k while keeping a small stock of rare gems for personal use lol

Do you get much value from prospecting the pyrite then? I was tempted to start but wasn't sure how many Volatiles you get and the price was insane last week compared to eternium.

@Seren-wow prices for pyrite ore were about 5-7g each on my server. I've seen 2-3 Volatile earth each prospect. Depending on the price you get a little over 1/3 of your money back on volatiles alone. TSM destroy is showing 7.5% chance at rare gems for pyrite as opposed to Elementium ore 4.5%

My pots investment from before prepatch will soon go to vendor. However Saronite ore was a win, made nice profit . Actually on some days saronite bars sell for 15g on gehennas and its low competition farm. Can also smelt and flip ore from AH. Thorium is uncontested but at 1g each its slow. Ive been shuffling embersilk bolts and few jc cuts. Today i'll have meta gem recepie and start pumping gold by combo of prospecting-> transmute master meta gem-> resell

I was thinking about you the other day, hoping you had seen the Saronite prices. I sold all mine for 6g too, I couldn't believe how fast it went.

Folks likely crafting repair bots, 10 saronite bars for 5 bots. Sell really well for a good profit.

hehe yeah, thats a totally reasonable way to do it, my mum actually is the same, she always says she reached that point in her career where time is worth the most and so happily pays for the convenience!
