Honey, "Mi negra" is an endearing and charming lovename or nickname for women and even men "Mi negro" in Mexico and Latinamerica, for us is something so natural since many people over here is dark skinned or tanned, even we say "negrita" or "negrito" to the ones we love, our children, friend etc. It's a harmless expression over here and people honestly don't even give it a racist meaning.

It wasn’t meant in a negative way, but if it is taken negatively to you and your country then maybe don’t listen to the song if it bothers you so much. My point being that when the lyrics were made for this song originally there was no malicious intent in fact the opposite but the fact that you’re country sees it differently and decides to label it as racist is stupid, go complain about something else and let others enjoy the song, no ones promoting racism, no ones trying to make racist comments people are just listening to the song

A lot of song from different artist used the worlds (mi negra or mi negrita) just like we say my baby, they also used (mi guera, or mi guerita).

There are so many things I have to say. 1) He isn't the original writer od the song. 2) The song loses alot over translation. The translation says "little girl" but in spanish "chamaca"/"muchacha" is a term that refers to a young woman in her late teens/early 20s. - like "piruli" doesn't really refer to a lollipop face, it is more endearing like sweet face or sweet lips. 3) In Latin countries when anyone is refered to as "nergo"/"negra" it is not a racist term. It is more of a friendly term most commonly used with people you know. Again, thank you so much for reacring to music in Spanish. It makes me so happy!!! 💗💗💗💗😇😇😇😇
