LEOs, especially those in leadership positions, forget who they work for. These agencies belong to the people, not the government. They will gladly take our tax money to pay for their salaries, but then act like they don't have to interact with us when requested. Any police chief and elected Sheriff should have to speak to a member of the public when requested.

What I did find was: a voter is allowed to document his/her own voting process with photo and video. There are rules about 'watchers' who oversee the functioning of a polling station, but they differ in all fifty states. Registered journalists have access to the polling station, and can view from a designated area. How to register as journalist during elections vary for all states as well.

If the Chief is under investigation, I would bet many of the officers under the Chief are just as corrupt and should be removed……you cannot put new wine in old wine bottles….meaning just removing the Chief is not going to remove the cancer that has already consumed the department.

It's ironic. These polling places are there to ensure the right to vote, which is fundamental in this country, yet, too often, they try to infringe on the right of the press, another fundamental right enshrined in the constitution. The officer upheld his oath to the constitution by protecting your fright to film. It's good to see that.
