I agree the writing was heavy handed, but I do love the cohesive theme of frank acting like a dog before the whole putting down scene, felt like og sunny

I like that Dennis immediately starts to comment on how the setup isn't good for killing Frank. Man knows how to commit a proper murder and to suggest he would simply shoot Frank on the beach with other people around is an insult to him.

Charlies sisters were actually in season 1 episode 6 or 7. When they had an intervention for Charlie, his sisters were there. It's also the first time we saw uncle Jack

Yeah heavy handed is a good term for it. Some of the episodes this season really roll and feel good, like the first and last episode. They feel like classic sunny. But most of them feel like this one, where everything is so on the nose and over explained or it feels forced. Like the title is one of the worst in my opinion because it's just so tacked on. It has nothing to do with the episode itself and it's just kinda forced into the beginning and the ending. It just happens so suddenly without any subtlety or wit to it. If they made that episode title in the middle of the series, the episode would have been about random things happening throughout the day and somehow Frank just keeps shooting different members of the gang on accident. It would have all been woven together seamlessly. Instead, it's just tossed in carelessly and the rest of the episode is about entirely unconnected threads.

Really Frank shoots every member of the gang is a dumb title but “Frank sets sweet Dee on fire” or “Americas next top Paddy’s billboard contest” are just fine? Also what are you talking about? It’s not tacked on, him shooting Dennis and Dee is what triggers the A plot, now yeah you could argue the ending is a little forced but it’s far from the dumbest thing this show has done

@@Chubby_Runs No, Frank Sets Sweet Dee on Fire is the former glory that this episode tries to recapture. In that episode, Frank does it multiple times throughout the episode, and when it first happens you have no clue it's about to happen. In this episode, you already know it isn't going to happen because the rest of the game isn't there with them. We see Frank in a completely separate location from Mac and Charlie for the *whole* episode, so you literally know that it's coming by the time that the ending happens. That's what makes it feel incredibly forced. And what are you on about with America's Next Top Paddy's Billboard Contest? That's literally what happened in the episode. It's what the epsidoe is about. What, you gonna get mad that Gun Fever is an episode name because the guys actually have gun fever?

These seasons are not as funny. That's it. Mac was good in this one as he rarely is since they changed his personality from explosive to mopey in season 13. It has its moments but it's not the same.
