A fun detail, I think, is the art-deco credits are inspired by the fact that the Empire State Building is considered to be a icon of art deco architecture; and as a fellow long term fan of the series I am sure you know the significance of the Empire State Building to the story :)

also a fun addition, i was so excited when i saw your reaction drop, i immediately sent it to my spouse and we proceeded to watch in separate rooms as we went about our days but essentially synced up with each other's videos since we started at the same time xD

You can identify with any character that resonates with you regardless of gender. I'm a bi cis-female and the character that I most identified with was an Irish teenage str8 cis-male in the series Normal People. Connell (played by Paul Mescal), navigated the world and communicated with people like I do: reluctantly and badly. So, it's totally ok.
