Denis can't take amount of peds that he was taking back in the day because of his health issues. And this is the reason why he can't get back to prime shape. He can still relevant in the top 10 but I don't see a way by that he will again gain a top spot. As a huge Denis fan it is sad but this is the truth. We should be thankful that we are witnessing him compete again after so many setbacks.

How can you be a Denis fan and make this stuff up. Where do you read or hear him say any of that? The reason he cant get into shape is because he needs a hip replacement. Its as simple as that. He cant even walk properly, let alone train properly. If he fixed that he would be able to climb back up again. A 40yo Levan vs a 60 yo Devon could be interesting again ;) But I think Levan is interested in armwrestling only when he can dominate, similar story with Denis who hangs on to his past achievements (legacy hammer) currently or Alexey Voevoda - once the peak is gone they all show low interest in continuing arm wrestling unlike a Brezenk or Devon…

Denis should have taken a match where he doesn't need to worry about his hand being taken. Denis vs Jerry and Denis vs Dave were perfect matches for that reason. I think people are underestimating Cyplenkov though, like he didn't took 20 Devon Larratt toproll surges and was still able to stop the match, he's still really realky strong, but he's taking very difficult matches stylistically.

It's difficult for a hook puller to go against best top rollers. Denis would enjoy pulling against hook pullers than pulling top rollers coz whenever in he's prime he went against top rollers he relied on he's kings move but today pullers like Devon Ermes can go through he's kings move which is the big big problem for Denis.
