Sometimes in the game of chess, you are not sure where you went wrong and you find yourself losing the game. The sheer pain of the loss can be devastating, especially for the young players. Watch the game between two youngsters Elemes Nurmukhamed (KAZ, 1570) and Sattwik Swain (IND, 1567) from the seventh round of the FIDE WORLD CUP OPEN U08 - Group A.

wow what a mate but why didnt he promote to queen instead of knight , whatever the reason it worked greatly for him, and as the commenter commented previous to mine, "excellent" ....the game by the youngsters i hope was fun for them even though tears were shed

He didn’t promote to queen as the next step would be knight to C3 pinning king and queen and he will loose the piece.
