I love how obvious their old friendship is throughout this. I think the people complaining are only seeing things at surface level and can't directly relate from their own experiences. In my experience these cultures of people are typically more closed off and don't have the same experience in general of stresslessness and the feeling to be 100% natural around your oldest friends at all times like in North/South America and Asia. It was kind of a shock to me. Anna is half Swedish but she is very well travelled and 'globally raised', so she strays from the mold I'm describing.

His mistake was moving. When he was way ahead she was trapped. Almost all her pieces were in a spot where moving gets them captured. A couple nonsense moves like shifting the king around or moving the pawn one square was the move. Give her a chance to make more mistakes.
