Well, see... Bulma's hair was originally purple, in colored parts of the manga. For some reason, they made it blue-green in the anime. I imagine making Trunks' hair purple when he got introduced was convenient for keeping people guessing about who he was, though I doubt that was the reason they did it. The weirdest part is, in Dragon Ball Super, they made his hair blue-green like Bulma's and they just all act like it was always that way.

Yeah. In one of the manga cover, you can see Bulma, Trunks, and Baby Trunks together in a car and they all have purple hair. Because Bulma is more known for her blue hair, all 3 of them were changed to always have had blue hair, as shown in one of the early manga cover for DBS.

@@alleycat3449 All pure blood Saiyans have canonically black hair that "doesn't change from the day we are born". It was Vegeta's main argument as to why the mysterious swordman who claimed to be from the future couldn't be a Saiyan, as his hair wasn't black.

The changes happen in said universe but not his. The second Cell was brought to universe prime by a second future Trunks, and this third cell is this future Trunks’ home universe Cell.

Yeah, there are at least 3 different Timelines/Multiverses in play in the Dragon Ball Universe. Lets call them X, Y, and Z. Dragon Ball Timeline X is where Cell came from - a Timeline where Trunks had defeated the Androids/Cyborgs, and Cell could no longer become complete - He kills Trunks, steals the Time Machine, and travels to Z. Dragon Ball Timeline Y is where the Trunks we know comes from. He travels to Z to warn them about the Android/Cyborg threat. Dragon Ball Timeline Z is where the show actually takes place! (yes, I chose to use the labels X, Y, and Z, so I could label the show's timeline "Dragon Ball timeline Z)

@@rokkraljkolesa9317 Yeah, there's officially 4 timeline during the original manga run/DBZ anime. The original one (Trunk's timeline), the main one (the one we follow), Cell's Timeline (the one were he killed his Trunks), and the "Unseen Timeline" (almost identical to the main timeline, except Trunks never came back after his first trip). And to clarify, in Cell's timeline, he attacked Trunks before he came back to help with 19 and 20. We can see in his flashback that Trunk still had his jacket and his sword when they fought. In Trunk's timeline, Cell tried to ambush him AFTER he returned post-Cell Game. This time, Trunks had his Saiyan battle armor and no longer had his sword, confirming that they weren't supposed to be seen as the same encounter, but 2 separate ones.

I feel like a lot of Trunks' personality comes from the life he's lived. Most of the other characters grew up fighting either for sport, or satisfaction, or just to prove their strength either to others, or themselves. Trunks, meanwhile, has only ever fought for one reason, and that's survival. Resulting in a very different outlook than all the other heroes when it comes to handling conflicts. For the other Z-Fighters, even when the world is on the line, they can't break from their habits and instincts of fighting for glory, or pride. Whereas Trunks only knows fighting as do or die, and treats everything around fighting accordingly. As for power levels, I believe Trunks actually is stronger than Perfect Cell (at least, prior to Cell blowing himself up, and then coming back). He just couldn't defeat Cell because of the form required to achieve that strength. From what I recall, Cell even says outright, in the actual anime, that when Trunks was using that form, Trunks had him beat in terms of raw power. Before going on to explain why that bulky form was useless due to its loss of speed.

Guess you can see which way they chose 14:30 They wanted to have a bunch of kids shout "Use the Kamehameha" but they only had one kid readily available Trunks can beat Semi-Perfect Cell no problems any shots he gave to Perfect Cell were given to him out of pity

Ok, so that whole old guy shooting 17 thing really defeats the purpose of one of freiza's men shooting Goku with a lazer gun in resurrection f... cuz no way was 17 prepared for that first shot, and Goku definitely wasn't prepared for any of the shots Bulma fired at him when they first met in dragonball and it was clear that any shots that landed were more like annoying welts than anything... Am I the only one thrown a bit off kilter by that?

yes. 17 is a Cyborg. "mostly metal at this point" according to Dr. Briefs. even if he isnt paying attention, bullets would most likely bounce of his metal frame. Goku was damaged by a simple laser because he let his guard down. Ki is used as protection as well as offense. Thats why they can take point blank laser blasts and come out unscathed, depending on power level of course. Goku himself pointed out that hes becoming soft because of his lack of training when he stopped those robbers, after one shot him and he blocked it with his arm. he had a mark on his arm where the bullet hit and then he made his remark Whis even pointed out that goku has a bad habit of letting his guard down and it leaves him open to attack...it was foreshadowing

Freeza army's lasers probably are millions of times stronger than an Earth revolver tbh. @@myrkrormr 17 and 18 aren't most metal like 16, they were teenagers remodelled by Dr. Gero, they're more like cyborgs and Toriyama said they're mostly still bio-organic and that's why they were able to have kids.

Lo de los colores de pelo es algo confuso y solo es así en el anime. A Bulma también le pensaban poner el cabello lila, y de hecho en DB Súper el Trunks del futuro tiene el cabello azul y el del presente lo tiene lila, aunque eso no tenga sentido
