Hope you had a great Christmas. Your adventures are always fun to follow. Melissa and I are watching Breaking Bad again. And I love visiting all the filming sites there. I swear they put 🌶️ in everything in that area. Holy Taco Bell - I’m the only in the family likes it. We usually stay at Holiday Inn Express for free breakfast and pool. Have a Happy New Year.

Hey Carl!!! Give Melissa a hug for us!! Breaking Bad is one of Kyle’s all time favorite shows. He loves it! He even sported a los pollos hermanos t shirt until it got holy and went to tshirt heaven 😂 And yessss! They put 🌶️ in everything! I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to handle it when we bought property there. Buuut, eating so much of it now, I can say that the red is what I go with more because it’s less spicy typically than the green. Holiday Inns have been a really great one for us! This one had zero pet fee, which is unheard of!!! Have a great new year Carl!!!!!!

Do you take anything for your panic? It puts a lot of stress on ones heart. I dont like mental health meds, but i do like a very small does xanax helps me so so so much when im in panic mode.
@Beingbethunes26 күн бұрын
That’s a great question! I actually prefer to use THC for mine, which helps me manage sooooo much easier. However, if I’m driving, I don’t take it, so I have to manage my panic the entire time and by the end of the day, I am even more exhausted than I was in this video. I’ve taken lorazepam and Xanax before, they both give me adverse effects and aren’t for me. I am really glad they work for you! Medicine is such a great tool when you need it!
@Everyday_is_a_new_day26 күн бұрын
@Beingbethunes same for me too. I prefer thc. But when I can't use it like you said in driving or others, I'm thankful for my xanax. All the others gave me adverse symptoms, too! Made everything worse! Sometimes, even the THC makes it worse if it's a bad batch or something. So xanax is my emergency stash only. Lol I'm so happy you can manage naturally too! I had heart issues arise from panic attacks, so I like to help remind everyone else to keep the heart health up too! Herbs in tea or cooking to help lower cortisol. It's cortisol that affects the heart. 💗
@Beingbethunes26 күн бұрын
THC is such a great tool! You’re right though, sometimes those bad batches can enhance panic for me too. It helps tremendously when Kyle is driving. I’m able to stay at a manageable level without becoming too overwhelmed. Today though, I had to pull the U-Haul with the jeep through Phoenix and it was really tough on my panic. It’s sooo good to have multiple tools like you said. I put on my lofi beats on Spotify, then began my breathing, Theodore did DPT on my shoulder, and I was able to manage. When I got out of the car though, the lights in target caused a massive panic attack and we had to spend 45 minutes in the bedding section so I could find my calm. That’s so good you can use that! It helps to have a medicine that can bring it down almost instantly. It’s crucial in lowering the panic before it becomes too much to manage. Yesss! Cortisol is everything in heart health! I think stress causes so much disease and cancers. Finding peace throughout my day is a godsend! I really appreciate you sharing some of your story with me this evening 🫶

@Beingbethunes the energy in phx itself is a panic. Know the phrase, rise of the Phoenix, that phenomenon is real! You did it! Something new on something you already done. Driving a uhual attached is a big step and in the 5th largest city!!! In the US?! Girl I live in tucson and just driving g anything in phx is a anxiety of itself! I'm so proud of you angel!!! 👏 💗💗💗

Didn’t Jen drive alone when she had to follow the bus for quite awhile? How did she manage her PTSD with that?
@Beingbethunes26 күн бұрын
That’s a great observation Lisa. It’s a different kind of panic when I am driving alone. I can manage easier by myself, driving alone with Theodore. Leaving in a car as a family is my biggest trigger. I do so much worse if I drive with Kyle in the passenger and the kids in the back. If the kids are in the car, losing them became a reality. My PTSD is constantly reminding me it could happen again because it did before, by showing my horrific images of us crashing and our kids dying. That’s when we are all in the car together. If I am by myself, I am in panic, I just don’t have the images because I am using my senses to focus on the road, with Theodore giving me DPT on my arm. So, I have panic in both, I just don’t have the images when I drive alone. Either way, I am utterly exhausted by the end of the day, with my muscles being tensed up all day long and when they finally get to release, I’m in so much pain. If I ride in the bus, I do SO MUCH BETTER. I have mild panic, but I’m usually able to manage it really well. In different situations, my panic varies greatly. We could be out in Target and a sound, smell, or bright lights can trigger my PTSD. I didn’t have that before, I used to love going into stores. Since the accident, I hate being in crowded places or among hoards of people. Triggers can happen anytime, anywhere. I appreciate you reading all this! PTSD is complicated and I wanted to explain it in a way that felt right 💛
@lisahansen361026 күн бұрын
@ thank you for answering that for me. I don’t experience it so didn’t understand how it worked. I’m sorry that you have to deal with this and hope it will get better for you.
@Putapota2126 күн бұрын
It's really sad that you have to deal with that for the rest of your life. Hopefully, when you get older, like in your 50s and 60s, it won't be so bad?🙏🏼 I'm trying to figure this out because why do you have it so bad, but your husband doesn't? and he can just drive with no problems.😢🙏🏼🤍 Oh, i went to Taco Bell two weeks ago and had the new chicken nuggets and they tasted good and way better than McDonald, Burger King and Wendy's because it's breaded with crumbs on them and that makes the difference and that's how i make my chicken and the bread crumbs gives it😂 more flavor.👍🏼🩷

OMG I would have been like Jenn too!! But seriously you have to ask!!?? It is a mother thing...she carried that baby for NINE months , only a mother can truly understand, men can not...ugh some ppl! Also just fyi that was her son... Yes Kyle, I am sure loved him as his own too.

Thank you Elizabeth 🫶 PTSD is really hard and it’s gotten better for me over the years. I’ve worked really diligently at learning each of my emotions and how they react to my triggers. I’ve spent a lot of time identifying my triggers so I can begin to breathe as soon as one comes in. You know, I think trauma and grief aren’t one sized fits all. They show up differently in each person. For me, I think seeing it happen to Ethan and then seeing what he looked like right after, that altered my brain in such a way that I can’t unsee what I saw. That scarred my brain so much so, that I got PTSD. PTSD from my experience, affects my brain and conspires with my emotions to cause me to spiral into the black abyss. Going on a long trip with the kids in a car is my biggest trigger. Kyle’s depression got cracked open from the accident and that has its own set of challenges he has had for as long as I’ve had my PTSD, about 13 years. Each of us have different things that we help each other grow with 🥰 Kyle and the kids loved the Taco Bell nuggs! I bet the nuggets you make are amazing!!!!
