When we lived in Michigan we usually got 4 deer 100 chickens, and fished. We didn't have to buy meat and vegetables, some fruits, eggs. Venison is very lean we used beef fat to grind it in. We'd get a pig from 4h. Chickens raised have more texture than store bought. I still have a hard time eating store bought eggs, chicken 13 years later when I moved to Arizona. I wish my heart could have stayed in Michigan.

I am on my medicinal, nutritional weed/herb journey since I moved to Missouri. I check at least 4 sources to make sure what I'm doing is safe, and proper ID, and how to best use them. I have mullien (good for lungs and I'm a smoker) self heal, goldenrod (antiseptic, mucus membrane and urinary tract) and plantain leaves (different leafy plant, not the one that makes plantain fruit that looks like a banana) that has tons of minerals and nutrients and chicory. Also growing purslane that has tons of nutrients. Strawberry leaves and carrot tops are edible too. It's an amazing journey! The botanist lady that was on the Alone tv series has a great book out that I'm seeing advertised especially on Facebook if you're interested.

Not only that if she got into just taking a walk with their kids with that book and they recognize that plant they bring it over to her and that teachers kids what they can eat in the forest if they ever got lost or whatever it's an experience They don't teach you that in school

I got a BooBoo On my forehead When I was Taking Care of Sir. He Houdini out of his apron (again!) And i bent down to snatch him by the horn real quick and wacked my head on our fence really really good. Smashed my head open and had to run inside to super glue it closed. Its healing good now.. but yeah.. MEL DOWN LOL!
