Let's tour the new front yard pond. We tucked a large pond into a typical size Vero Beach front yard, and it's perfect; I may never want to leave again. This video shows the construction of the new pond with the help of my amazing crew and another Aquascapes contractor, Mr. Aaron Chico from Blue Lotus. bluelotuswaterscapes.com/cont... Oh my goodness…GORGEOUS! I really love that you let us see the process. My take always: The sound and beauty of the pond are breathtaking. The pond is probably something I’d want a professional to do (read Construction Landscape). Anytime a project like this is taken on there will be “opportunities” that will need to be addressed. I LOVE the fence, gates, and podocarpus. I love the idea that I could be in my front yard drinking coffee in my pajamas, listening to the sound of water and enjoying complete privacy. Thanks for taking us behind the scenes!!

Gorgeous! Great job! I'm looking at the trees with bright pink flowers along the perimeter near the street - can you tell me what those are? And also the tree with the pink and yellow flowers near your front door? Thank you!

Thank you and yes those are both Bougainville trees. All of them are planted in a pot since the rest of my yard likes more water then they do and it keeps them blooming all year.

wow looks amazing ... one question does this Effect your home liability insurance being in the front yard ? say a neighbours child wanders in and falls in and drowns/ dies ? just would like to know

Great question and that’s another reason why we installed the gates we put the handles up higher so little kiddos couldn’t reach to open it and once the hedge grows in solid, I’ll feel even more comfortable.

Beautiful!!!! Question: how do you keep weeds from getting out of control in your beds? Preferably without using Roundup or something toxic as I'm also growing edibles.

Good question! Unfortunately I have not found a better source then Roudup. Now that my garden has become so dense I rarely have to use it. The best thing I've found is fertilize the plant groupings of course organics if they are edibles keeping the plant groupings the strongest plant in the beds so they can choke out any weeds. Sorry wish I had a better option.

Hello Denise, 10 foot would be as close as I would put a travelers palm and then I would also use a root guard bio barrier for extra protection.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I want a bigger one but they are so expensive! I lost many fish to a blue heron. I hope you don’t. Once they find the fish they will take them all!

I know it’s always worry. I did add a fish cave to it this time I just hope my babies are fast enough to get in it when danger strikes 😢

Yes it is and I'm in love with it. I got mine from Treasurecoast turf however they are becoming pretty available at any nursery that sells bougainvillea standards. Depending on where you are in the state. Good luck
