Even though I've answered this so many times I'm going to post it here so I don't have to keep repeating myself. The lady that owned the big bay Infront of me didn't feel comfortable continuing on him so she swapped with the lady behind on the grey cob (Charlotte). This lady had never ridden the bay before so yes she was abit messy but I think most of us would be if last second you had to jump on a big hunter you'd never ridden before! Yes she came off, she isn't a bad rider, I fall off all the time 😅 After she fell, she wanted to ride her cob again. Another friend said she would hop on Fred (the big bay), this friend had ridden him out hunting before however she didn't have riding boots or a hat or was dressed to ride 🙈 she also had a broken finger! So she did amazing considering! I hope that all makes sense. If you have any OTHER questions feel free to ask here.

maybe share a horse where you contribute to the horses care financially and you take turns to do stable chores, feeding etc, that way you can ride without having to deal with the full responsibility of their care which would make it much less time consuming, I hope you get to ride again, it's such a wonderful feeling to be one with your horse.

Peaceful and loving quiet communication and togetherness is priceless. This was so much fun to watch! Your horse jumps so smoothly its insane. You did such a good job keeping her at a great pace too and slowing her down at the jumps. It drives me nuts when I see people charging at jumps or slowing down too late, but you were perfect!!

Aww thankyou! Yes I hate that too! Plus I find it scary tanking at a jump 😅

Awww I hope to do this on my mare one day but she is just being re broke by being schooled a lot cuz she is a bit unbalanced around corners and she had trouble trotting and cantering around corners but she is a cracking jumper I jumped nearly 4 foot on her before and she is practically bombproof and she is only 7 😂😊

Hi! I’m new here. 😁 Who is your lovely mare? Name? Age? Breed? Just curious. I love horses. I went horseback riding for the first time two weeks ago. It was awesome! Trail rides are so much fun. 😊

I really don't know how I got here, but holy shit that's FAST. I used to ride until I was 14/15 and then got bullied out of it, but I haven't forgotten what it feels like sitting on a horse's back (and I literally cried when I finally got to go horseriding one last time in 2017). A normal gallop felt fast back then, but this really is on another level. It's so cool to watch as well, I'm happy the youtube algorithm brought me here :D

This looks really fun! I've just started horse back riding, any tips? I'm a girl btw, just using a guys account.

Don't do this straight away 😂 it's scary haha! Just enjoy it 😊 horse riding is so freeing and exhilarating! Finding a good coach will help though. Plenty of bad ones out there! A good one will improve your confidence, riding skill level, horse communication and knowledge :) hope that helps a little :) x

Equinologee that helped a lot! Thanks! I'll be sure to take note of all that! Again, thanks!

A couple things, first off I want to say it will take up a vast majority of any free time you have, but if it is what you want to do, don’t even worry about that bit, because you will want to practically live at the barn if you’re like me! Second, I’ve come across a book called Centered Riding by Sally Swift and it has made me completely rethink riding to a whole different level- definitely in a positive way! And if you don’t mind I’m just going to quote a bit from the Forward and then a bit from the Intro. “From the time we enter school we are told to study harder to get better grades, do more push-ups, run more laps to make the football team. “If you don’t try, you won’t succeed.” Then we climb onto a horse, a timid creature of flight, which knows and cares nothing of the work ethic, and we drive him crazy. The very act of trying brings tension and rigidity; the horse responds to our stress with his stress, and the downward spiral begins.” If you get the book all of this and so much more will make sense to you. I so STRONGLY recommend Centered Riding it’s not even funny. Just look it up on Amazon and buy it. Seriously. You NEED this book if you want to be an expert rider. “This book, on the whole, does not teach you how to ride.” So keep that in mind because you’ll probably need an instructor as well but this book is AMAZING! Infinity out of five star rating. Good luck, also I know that was a lot to read so sorry

You know I have 6 Acres and I was really deciding on getting a side-by-side 2 seater and there's so many of them out there tearing up our land destroying our forest all the past the destruction and none of that is necessary all you need is a horse and like I said in the beginning I have six acres why not fence it in I get a horse I'm out in the mountains what the heck sounds good to me save the environment and start a relationship with one of the most respected animals and beautiful animals on this planet

Honestly you will not regret it, I've saved a number of horses from the knakerys and they give so much love back, better then some people. There is nothing like having a relationship with a horse, it's magical.

Mabey you should jump bigger with your horse because she’s not taking the jumps seriously and isn’t concentrating on some of them. She would concentrate a bit more if had a bigger jump to jump ❤️❤️ only a suggestion but I honestly believe she would be right to do a course of 90 or 80 you’ll feel she jumps better because I know she’ll wake up more ❤️❤️ you obviously don’t have to but I think you should give it a go 😇😇

Hey these are 90 (novice). Although some look smaller. Hedges are 1m+ 🙂 im considering doing intermediate (i think solid fences are around 1m and hedges around 1.10 😬) next year when I've grown some balls lol 😅
@libbyowen91776 жыл бұрын
Equinologee you should definitely do intermediate ❤️ well done anyway
