I’m definitely in the minority but I want Bliss / Locklear playing every day, trade Polanco and France for the RP they’ll get in return and let’s run away with this. Regardless of how well 1B/2B produce with those guys, isn’t the hope that they’ll be the long term guys there? Let’s just run the young bats out there. Screw it have Clase come up and play every day too and let’s see if these young guys can be what we want them to be

I have watched Seattle Mariners since the very beginning, I think this is the worst hitting team Seattle has ever had. Garver and Haniger both should go (Nice Guys) Even when the Mariners win they are boring endless strikeouts. popups, Might as well bring in Locklear, Bliss etc. Texas and Houston are getting players back, if Seattle is going to make moves do it now !!

One of two things is gonna happen with this team either they will have a very boring play style the test of the tear and they will eeek their way into the playoffs and get shutbdown by good pitching probably in the first round. Or they will have an epic collapse that will be negatively exciting but that everyone will if they are honest with themselves be able to say "yeah kinda figured that was gonna happen". Either one is gonna be painful to watch.

Please don’t say get rid of Mitch. He hasn’t been the worst hitter on the team and while I admit he hasn’t been great, he has had some clutch moments and I want his leadership on the team. Plus in the postseason I’d rather have vets than young guys hitting. Haniger is not the problem with the offense is all I’m saying.

It Mitch Garvers 6 appearances as the starting catcher, the Mariners are 3-3. :) Also, the ONLY thing in Mitch Hanigers entire batting line that is better than Garvers is his batting average... Garver has a better OBP, SLG, OPS, OPS+, WAR, more HR, etc

@@MarinerMojoOfficial yes he does have 2 more home runs which is why he has a better SLG % along with every stat that incorporates that but the question is bottom of the 10 you need a hit to score the guy from second base which Mitch are you giving the bat to the one with a .040 lower batting avg not even above .175 and a higher strikeout rate? Or the one who even going 0 in like the last 7 games is still .040 better at .213? I was surprised to find out he's 3-3 at catcher that's probably just mad at how the last couple games have gone when he catched.

But when one player struggles it's up to the rest of the team to pick up the slack and for the manager to make the right move and sometimes that right move is just waiting it out and trusting that a great baseball player will be able to get out of his slump. I honestly do not care how much money he makes. I don't believe in being jealous of another man's success. The rich only bother me when their wealth is acquired through exploitation, theft and slavery. I believe Julio will turn things around sooner or later. Though hopefully sooner!

It is about our roster building for a franchise with one of the stingiest owner groups in professional sports. We cannot afford to have someone this mediocre taking up that much of our self imposed salary cap. He has not shown us he can be "great" by any measure yet. A good rookie season is not a great player. Great players are CONSISTENT. His rookie year now seems like more of a fluke than something he can consistently do because as far as I can tell he doesn't have a mind for the game.
