Keen to see the front suspension set up. Kinda breezed over the drop spindle install in a prior episode. Loving the content as I've got a 03 single cab myself.

Yer i did sorry mate, i had one of the boys do it for me as i was really busy so i only got tiny amount of clips on doing the spindles. they are pretty easy to install tho. its really just like replacing a hub. when i do the next stage of suspension ill explain it a bit better. Nice mate, i was thinking of trying to put that front end of my ute as i prefer that model but this was too good to miss at the time. Yours a single cab?
@ynwa09587 ай бұрын
Yeh man, single cab and tub like yours. Rears got roll pan, 2 leafs removed, lowering blocks and has a set up for air shocks but was too rough. Front just wound down torsion bars but hits bump stops everywhere, hence the need for drop spindles.

@@ynwa0958 Yer drop spindles was the best thing i did. this actually rides pretty well for a lowered ute and with the bags ill have 500kg in the back heaps and it rides even better. is it your daily?
@ynwa09586 ай бұрын
@RCSMediaDivision nah not my daily, bought it cause, like you, I've always wanted that shape. I have an 89 single cab in my shed that's pulled apart. Will get painted once I get around to it. Basically bought it as a bit of a run around and to take clippings to the dump
@RCSMediaDivision6 ай бұрын
@@ynwa0958 As much as i love this ute there is no way i could drive it daily so thats why i was wondering haha. Its super practical to have a single cab ute tho isnt it. i use mine flat out for carting stuff around.

Heyy finally!! You wont drive the stato much when your little four banger is faster and more fun!! The only time u really want a hoist is to remove the sump to weld in a turbo drain plug. The manifold and dumb pipe take 20 mins to install, we ran the stock exhaust with muffler deletes so the dump will bolt to a stock exhaust or a 2.5inch kit bolt in hilux kit ect If u dont use that small surge tank then u will need to buy a fuel pump from walbro and slap it in place of the stock pump too Also a small catch can and loose the PCV valve in the rocker cover, u can buy push in fittings or weld some -AN fitting to the rocker cover Aeropro hose sleeve for the oil return so it doesnt melt if u decide to use rubber hose like i did. We built my ute drunk in the shed with a some mates and my hilux wasnt nice.. I THRASHED the fuck out of it, Short drive, long drive, loaded with bike gear and a trailer with bikes on the back. Driven like a rally car as soon as it see a dirt road after a 6 hour drive to a camping spot, all the limiter bassing in 1st and 2nd until it started to hook up on the road If i didnt have my SS or xr6t utes id still own it lol
@mifo20007 ай бұрын
Should add that most of my mates are metal workers like me haha We might have been drunk making that manifold but its fucking solid and very well used with no cracks or repairs
@RCSMediaDivision7 ай бұрын
Haha i'm worried about that. but the stato is atleast a V8 so it has that difference ill still enjoy the sound. Sweeet. ill buy a aftermarket one then and use that but ill just use the factory system to start wtih and see how it goes. Yer it actually looks like a legit manifold. i was wondering for a while if it was a bought one so you have done a great job! wont be too long now. mainly the ecu and patch harness that will slow me down. i found some for 2400 but hoping i can find it for less used
