I could be wrong, but it seems that a lot of cards are only playable because of ECL. In this game, if a higher cost card isn't doing anything the turn it comes into play, it hard to justify playing it. Also, leaders that have a cost plus exhaust ability just seem outclassed by leaders that don't have a cost or have a passive ability.

I wouldn't say a lack of imagination on the competitive scene as much as the numbers showing boba/sabine having a far more consistent showing over 8-9 rounds. Some of these decks can be incredibly powerful but with the amount of games you're playing, the less consistency in a deck, the more likely you end up with losses off the bad hands. Players are taking a safe route for sure but that is because there is only so much you can get out of a deck where the leader ability is more niche than untap because unit isn't in the arena anymore

Overwhelming Barrage should EXHAUST the unit ... its OP cause you get to spread dmg AND attack with the unit

I've been doing a bit of testing for next set, and Precision Fire has become one of my favourite cards now. Troopers are everywhere, and the relevance of even pumping Death Star Stormtrooper to 5 for a 1 resource investment is staggering.

I’ve been playing a Mando green that’s been a lot of fun and working better than expected. I run no ground units. My idea (that seems to work so far) is that avoiding ground is problematic for some decks and using Mando’s ability lets me win most races. I do a decently heavy end game with 3 u-wing reinforcements and 2 Home One. But a lot of the time I don’t get there.

I totally agree that Poe Dameron is overrated. It’s a good card but not THAT good.
