I have an 01 I want to build up, what suspension n tire upgrades have you done. I'm looking at heavy duty torsion bars and a 2 in shackle lift.

Torsion Bars and shackles is a good start. Add HD tie rods and extend the brake lines, replace all the shocks to support the lift. Delete - mud flaps, side steps, rear sway bar. As for wheels I’m running with 15” Cragar Soft 8 steel with BFG 33” AT. Going with 15” saves you some $$ on tires compared to the 16” or 17” wheels.

@@bengb25 have an 03 supercharged. Been meaning to make it into an overland rig. I wouldnt mind seeing a detailed list if you have one. Aftermarket support isnt great for these so have had some issue sorting parts. So far ive deleted side steps, mud flaps, rear sway bar. Has 3" suspension lift with new upper control arms to support the bilstein 5100's all the way around. New HD torsion bars and new leafs with +2 add a leafs. I think it has the LSD on the back so im currently looking at the ARB front locker for these. Ive thought about the soft 8's as a replacement. Do you know the offset for them?

I've never had one go bad on me in the four years I've been off-road with this Xterra. I do keep a spare with me though just Incase. I'm sure it gets hammered with mud a water all the time.
