5:56 The alternating between English and Japanese in the video is just for effect. In reality, the staff will accommodate guests in their preferred language. They were truly kind and wonderful. A big thank you to everyone who always watches and to all the accommodation facility officials☺✨ 🔻 Japanese Hotel Playlist kzbin.info/aero/PL8s0IirUameY_m4PsKjNJWP1vVhiX-3p6

I didn't know that Shiba Park Hotel is now a library hotel. As the office I used to work is closed to this hotel, I am very familiar and intimate with this hotel. Just a few steps walk from the hotel , there is a famouse Sichuan cuisine restaurant called " Mihosai". It's a great fan to have Chinese cuisine at this restaurant.

I would love to live in a bookstore. Or just above it. Just spend all day reading. Or to have a flat above a library. This looks like a great place for first-timers in Japan. Not too hectic, and a good way to get your feet wet in the country.

Interesting!, thank you Shiba Park Hotel is a small hotel that is not well known even among Tokyoites, but it has an interesting history. In 1945, after the end of the Pacific War, the Allied Forces General Headquarters was established in Tokyo, and the dormitory of Kyoritsu Women's Pharmaceutical University in Shiba Park became a dormitory for female American soldiers. This was the predecessor of Shiba Park Hotel. The manager of the hotel was a director of the Japan Rugby Union, so rugby teams who came to Japan, such as New Zealand’ s All Blacks, stayed at this hotel.

That afternoon tea reminded me of the full tea I enjoyed at Mad Hatter's in Anoka, MN. They offer a full tea service as well, although you have to make a reservation 24 hours in advance. Also...a library hotel, eh? Definitely gives new meaning to booking a stay! (gets looks) I'll get me coat...

I loved staying at the Shiba Park Hotel. In 2019, prior to the renovation, it was really nice and the staff were incredible. My room was in the Annex - the building behind the main hotel which now seems to have a new name - Inumo by Villa Fontaine. Are they now two separate hotels? It appears that most of your video was taken in what used to be the Annex. There was a Chinese restaurant to the right side of the lobby. I am glad they renovated the Annex. It now has what looks like an interesting vibe. I remember well the building with the green roof at 10:05 across the street from the main building. Because of the time differential I couldn't sleep so I walked all over the neighborhood and was perfectly safe. Nice video which brought back many pleasant memories. Thank You!

the shot of you and your husband RIGHT next to each other while reading in bed... not gonna lie, i laughed aloud cause i wasnt expecting you two to sit so close to each other when you had the whole bed to spread out! 😆 the ding-bring-a-ling of the electric kettle also made me laugh. wasnt expecting that either. was super cute though.

LMAO Ok, as I am watching this video, I am trapped in this swanky daydream of one day being able to take someone special that I know to some place like this because she is an avid book lover and world traveler. As I am having the most romantic daydreams in my mind, the children's program with the dancing toddlers (8:36) was so jarring and yanked me back into reality 😂😂😂 I think that is my sign to wake up and get back to work and reality 😂😂
