The screen is adjustable to a taller setting, but it has to be done manually by removing the windshield screws.

I have the 2017 model and while it is a great bike the seating position does indeed really gets uncomortable on any journey longer than an hour, currently looking at another bike because of it and its a shame because the xmax is a really good bike otherwise. I think i will end up on a naked bike or some sort of touring bike.

You can customize highway pegs that if you can straight extend your legs all way out will extend the comfort range to a lot more than a hour, probably about 3 or 4 hours then you can simply make a 10 toc15 minutes stop for gas and go another 3 or 4 hours, couple the highway pegs with a nice lumbar support seat and you got a great touring bike, can get a nice hard case luggage set ,I've even seen folks pull trailers on xmax, u can get different weight rollers or sliders to make pulling a trailer less fatiguing on the motor
