They say yeonjun has a mental illness and theres proof of that when he's driving and has the hospital tags and he suffered from his parents arguing and his coping method was to run away and imagine his friends there with him, theres proof of that when he was salsa dancing in the mv happily with his friends watching but in the teaser and he's dancing alone and when he passed by the door way to the next scene even though his friends are right behind him he's the only one really singing. it was all a dream or hallucination.

One of the theories is actually the boys are just part of Yeonjun’s imagination as escape from reality. If you can see in the last scene Yeonjun wakes up alone and the car is not burned down which means it didnt happen. He’s literally using/imagining the other members as his drug to take him away and save him from his miseries. Some also think Yeonjun has depression or mental health related problem because he has a green tag around his wrists commonly seen in ward patients. Please check out the live performances!

It kinda makes sense The signs of depression began after Run away era cause the person refused to run away. Then his friends were not able to understand him so he's become deeply depressed and lonely. So he lost his mind and started hallucinating. And it started in Cysm mv. I mean the burning house was already sus. Then blue hour which was his imagination.

Exactly! That was the first thing that came to my mind, because the whole vibe of this video is super happy, but eerie and melancholic at the same time. There are references to a movie (I forgot what it's called, sorry), in the scenes where Yeonjun is dancing in his room; also, can we just talk about how good their acting was in this??? They made me sob with this whole aesthetic & the album is full of deep lyrics and themes too. God, I love TXT, & I love Hybe for coming up with these dark, edgy concepts. They're not afraid to talk about mental health issues, and they always do it respectfully.

Yeonjun’s character there is he’s having depression depicting one of the present youths’ main problem you can see at the back that his parents are fighting. While the other members are his friends in his imagination that was definitely pointing out the other world were his friends are in and when the time he’s feeling lonely he would go to open the door of the other world, this door was seen many times in their MVs. And at the room he’s just alone dancing like in the teaser but in the mv it shows he’s imaginary friends are in there. And then Yeonjun because of eagerness to have friends, there at the lyrics you can see saying “I KNOW IT’S REAL I CAN FEEL IT.” which he’s pointing out to hos friends in his imagination and dreams, about dreams maybe it is connected to their song Still Dreaming which he doesn’t want to go out from his dreams because of the sad reality.

When Yeonjun is driving, you can see that there is like a green paper bracelet around his right hand, it looks like the one whom patients wear when they are hospitalize. Yeonjun wake up and he's alone, all of it maybe was a dream. Or maybe he's hallucinating since in the lyrics "I know it's real, I can feel it"

@@itsandyandjas In this dimension of the universe, Yeonjun is on the edge of death (Angel who appeared to me, take me to your hometown), experiencing a deep depression and medicating with anti-depressants. His friends and the fish (a common vision by those who take these types of drugs), they are all part of his imagination through the side-effects of the drugs he takes. Through these visions he tries to heal some of the pain, by acting out, and imaging companionship. TXT makes me smile, and the song is so great, I have to listen to this song and watch the MV at different times because I get a lot of conflicting emotions and I can't focus.

I've seen someone posted on Facebook about this and her/his theories were on point as well. It says there that the message of this song was particularly for people who's struggling with mental illnesses. Where Yeonjun was the main character and was recently discharged from the hospital. The line that says "Please used me like a drug" it simply implies to his friends/members that directly saying to him that they'll be there no matter what. But in the end those moments with his members were only his imaginations/hallucinations and it's because of his state. "I'm a loser in this game" that no matter how tight his grip towards the happenings in his life, there's no chance of making him feel better. Also, "Now, I can't stop thinking about you when I'm sinking alone" this part got me tear up. 😢😢 Credits: to the rightful owner of this idea. IT WAS MINDBLOWING! Also, I added some theory of mine. My Theory!!! It does connect to the story. All they’ve ever done in their story is use their imagination to escape from reality and their problem. Wether they play D&D, a video game, go to an amusement park, play in their own backyard, everything turns into their Magic Island because, although Ttukseom park was the original Magic Island, anywhere could be Magic Island since it’s all in their imagination anyway. In this moment of the story their friendship is in trouble, since they had a fight during Can’t You See Me? For that reason, Yeonjun is forced to imagine his escaped world by himself. However, the Magic Island won’t open without all 5 of them together, so he imagines them as well while looking at the fish. They always start fires in their story. I think it’s got a meaning they haven’t explained yet, but we can infer it’s got to do with their Magic. Fire can both be a helpful force, since they were cold (and it’s chapter Freeze, they need fire) they needed fire, but out of control it can be a problem. Anyway this song is amazing. It’s emo rock, it’s deep, it’s beautiful. Their live band version is just out of this world.

I agree with silly pak that tcc=freeze is a progression of what ie happening to txt. Arrangements of track are made for no reasons. The meaning of each songs are connected to the next one. Like anti-romantic is first to set the mood that u are in denial of such feeling then followed by 0x1 where you are accepting the reality of needing someone to love and to be loved. Then "magic" is what happens when you are in love with someone. Ice cream is the dessert of being in love like feeling all the sweetness it brings.

I think that the mv is Yeonjuns imagination and escaping from the reality of his parents fighting that has lead him to depression. Then the fish signify the other txt members his imaginary friends who keep him company during his depression. As we see at the end it was a dream and they are no longer there. The idea that he owns the fish at his house but somewhat teleports into the fish tank to have fun with the “fish” (his friends) as he tries to hold onto them but wakes up in reality that nothing has changed 😂😂 I’m not really sure but just a guess

If Ning Ning will be the main character in their next comeback then my theory will make sense then, because as I am seeing it, it looks like these boys are each battling loneliness and being misunderstood or not being able to connect with their surrounding due to being unique,and you know sometimes if people find something unique they tend to judge or point fingers. The boys might feel lonely and because they all have similar problems,they all have imaginary friends they are happy being together with but is that "Together" even real, maybe they are waiting for the perfect "Tomorrow" to come so that they can all finally be with each other and not in their imagination, just like Taehyun in Run Away, Soobin in Can't You See Me, Beomgyu in Blue Hour and Drama the Japanese Version MV where he really wanted to fit in with the boys...and Yeonjun in 0x1=Love Song...Is Kai next??? The fish tank theory makes so much sense! You're so right about the background building, wow mind blown I feel like Yeonjun dreamt of burning the car so he doesn't have the option of going home. The lyrics are actually so depressing (beautiful but sad), and I feel like this really mimics the storyline through the title track mvs. CROWN - despite their difference they find each other who'll accept them. RUNAWAY - everyday life is hard but they have each other for escapism. CAN'T YOU SEE ME - things shift with growing up and they as friends don't understand each other anymore. BLUE HOUR - it's like they're in denial of the fact that their relationship with each other is broken down, so they reminisce about the time they spent with each other in the past (hence all the fantastical elements of the mv and reference to children's fictional stories(Cinderella, Jack and the beanstalk, Alvin and the chipmunks)) but they're aware that it's just a memory hence in the lyrics they say they want to say it feels like thyre going through denial. In this mv, the colour palette is bleaker and more mature and I think Yeonjun imagining a road trip with the others and actually in reality driving an actual car somewhere speaks on the fact that a part of him has accepted the reality of his life and growing up but he's actually not quite there hence he goes out in the car searching (for magic Island prehaps?). Also the lyrics saying he *needs* us as well as Taehyun singing *use me like a drug*, I think Yeonjun really needs the escapism from his life that the rest of the boys gave him, and the fact that ppl use drugs mainly for escapism speaks volume. I think the fish were a reminder that it was his imagination, as he had fish in his room. I saw an interesting theory where someone said Yeonjun could be escaping from an hospital (he has lots of wrist tags).

I actually think that they are really in the tank that was created by their or yeonuun's imagination, when he locked himself in his room while his parents are fighting. The message and meaning that the song and mv was saying is so beautiful and so emotional specially when you are relate to it. And I think the lyrics "no way to go" was the feeling of confusion and lost, that can happen when your parents are always fighting and also when you have really a lot of problems "have a lot of problems, lovesick". And maybe the lyrics in Soibin's part where he said that he has no place in heaven, maybe because he think his life s*cks and hated it, he can't find it meaningful (just like his facial expression) and maybe he think that he is a bad kid.

to add up to everyone's theory about Yeonjun being ill, often in movies, hallucinations no matter how "real" they feel to a person there will always be something off about them. In this music video, we see Yeonjun hallucinating about having friends while he stares at the fish tank, but notice how Hueningkai was confused about the fish being in the sky? that's basically Yeonjun's mind telling him that all of this is just in his head. Similarly, you see Taehyun with an arm cast throughout the mv then he rips it off, which isn't really possible and Yeonjun wakes up from daydreaming right after, which (again) indicates that all of this was just in his head. As for how this relates to their universe, I think that all the members come from different universes and met in Magic Island (through imagination) and they can't exist in the same reality, which explains why whenever they're together something bad happens or someone dies. They're forbidden from being together but their promise to the star is what makes them keep trying!

I cried so hard while listening to this song, Yeonjun is an only child and I'm an only child too so I can relate to it a lot cuz we always have that urge to have good friends and have fun and get so excited for absolutely little things, I suffered a lot from depression and social anxiety, when I'm alone I always imagined myself with imaginary loyal friends cuz I was betrayed and ignored by my friends and family members, and I started imagining characters made by my fiction to escape from reality, this song describes people with the same situation. Also I remembered how Yeonjun was happy and glad to have His 4 TXT members as his little brothers even though they're not not siblings by blood. Love the song and your reaction as well ❤

I don't know why I thought about this but there's this saying (I think it's Thai)- You're my fish upon the sky. It means that meeting you was close to impossible or you yourself was impossible to meet. So my theory is that showing that fish in the sky might've ment that Yeonjun being with the rest of the members is impossible and ties into the different theories of everything being a figment of his I.pagination that he uses to escape the harsh reality of his life. When you dive deep into their storyline, it's kinda scary on how they/BigHit can come up with these self aware and depressing topics. I find that the happy moments in this video are used to hide the darkness that lies in Yeonjun's thoughts. It's really sad to think about but if you go into the thought process that Yeonjun has toxic relationships with his parents and that causes him to have mental issues it makes sense that he had escaped from a mental hospital (seeing that he had a hospital band on his wrist while he was driving) he uses his imagination to cope with his feelings and to imagine his friend (who knowing their storyline) probably have died. I saw some other theories and if you change the lyrics to fit the perspective of family and friendship love, it would make sense that considering his mental health, Yeonjun is asking for love so he can make sure he's still loved.

so what i think how this relate with the previous storyline is - during the dooms day, maybe either yeonjun died or yeonjun the only one who live. But yeonjun could be the one who died cus if u remember in eterrnally, we saw yeonjun 'died' after the chaos with the dragon and taehyun found him with purple blood thing flowing from his neck. Even in the frost concept trailer, he the one who got separated with his friend in the bridge and he had to jump off the bridge. If yeonjun died, this could be like an afterlife, where yeonjun is stuck in time or 'frozen' in time. The parent fighting and the other TXT is how he cope to feel normal. and he feel bad that he couldn't save his friend during the dooms day. and he doesn't deserve to go to heaven. he has regrets that's why he stuck in this space that is not heaven or hell. But if he the one who lives, his regret is that he didn't get to save the other txt and he wasn't even able to stop the dooms day. refer to the 'Im the loser in this game' lyrics. He has nothing left and ready to die but he feels like he does not deserves to be in heaven for the 'sin' of not able to help his friend. But at the same time, he is desperate to feel normal and loved again. As u said before, the fishes could represent the other parallel universe txt. when yeonjun look at the fish, sometimes he seems like he missing someone,he feeling lonely or contemplating something. and I think that he knows he can save his friend in the other universe but at the same time he doubts himself if he really could since he already thinks he dont deserves to be in heaven and all. But we can see at the later part of the video, he stood up after looking at the fish and he look like he already decides on what to do. which means that he finally decides he has to try and save the txt in the past/parallel universe. that's how it go back to eternally where the message on the window etc. idk if this makes sense.

So my theory is that yeonjun actually had a mental health related problem he had a green band around his wrist which is also seen commonly on mental health ward patients. I believe this comeback tells yeonjuns story before he meets the other members of before he dies and that him imagining the other members is also him going to magic island so I do believe it ties in with the rest of the universe! I think the fishes as well as what you touched on was also a reminder that it wasn’t real and maybe the scenes where you see the fishes are moments when he’s either going too or is in magic island. I also think the car could be the journey too magic island and when it sets on fire thats unfortunately when yeonjun passed when he wakes up at the end and nothing happens it’s him back in reality. Without his friends because when In apparently cysm yeonjun was also imagining that aswell I believe when he wakes up he realises his mistakes and I think the fire in the car also link to “the night we burnt the world down” ( I can’t actually remember the long ass title) I think the one thing that we don’t know is what the group did so long. I think it's a lot simpler than that :D I think the MV is about Yeonjun being stuck in an abusive household and wishing for an escape. And how you said with the fish, I think it's just a metaphor for feeling trapped. He wants freedom, his own life, he wants to have fun and live because every day of his life feels like shit, it's just constant screaming. This is something a lot of kids have to deal with and I think it connects well to Can't You See Me. And yea I think his friends are imaginery. And that part where he dances and sings about his wounds mending, that means that this fantasy is helping him pull through. But it's not enough. He ran away from home for a bit to escape the situation, but the fun times were only in his head. but the happiness the fantasy brought him was real. anyway I don't think this is part of the TU but I do think it connects to their overall message, the themes are all there. there will probably be a separate short movie for TU like there is for most of their comebacks

In Magic island, same thing happened, YJ stole the lighter and then that’s how they were able to create the spark thing, they played with it and then the island ended up burning and here, it was in the real world so the car ended up burning once again cuz of YJ but Beomgyu burnt it, if they didn’t have the lighter I guess things would of not gotten chaotic, it’s kinda like how ppl make mistakes sometimes, during our youthful times especially when they are having a hard time at home or anywhere you just dunno how to feel, like you feel empty and there’s no one there for you so sometimes I guess like YJ, ppl would maybe wanna distract themselves so they don’t feel alone and just like every human, during those times they will make mistakes on their own

I was waiting for your reaction😍 After watching it, I have got a new theory. What if all other TXT members and Yeonjun were real friends. Most of people talking about Yeonjun’s being sick and about the green ribbon on his right wrist. But why was he hospitalized? I think most of the moments with TXT members were in reality. They were driving Yeonjun’s parents car and then there was a car accident, after which other members died. As Yeonjun was the driver, he thinks he is guilty. That is why there is lyrics “there is no place in heaven for me” (Soobin’s part). In the beginning Yeonjun’s parents possibly arguing because of car accident happened and Yeonjun’s friends death. Yeonjun cannot carry his guilt, parents arguing and tries to escape the reality reproducing all the moments he had with TXT members. Hope, I could explain my thoughts 😅

OKEY so about the mv my interpretation is that yeonjun get out of the hospital (since you can see those colorful tags around his wrist) he and other members were in car accident and only yeonjun survived. The members aren't actually there he is just hallucinating that's why he wakes up alone at the end. Also the lyrics fit well "there was no road it was okey if I died I'm a loser in this game. I can't go to heaven"
