The fail and try again lady failed to mention that option is only available for the privileged in the US. You have to be able to afford to live as you try and fail again and again which means you either already have money, or you live by others people money while trying, something generally frowned on, or in some cases illegal in many European countries. If you go bankrupt over and over again, people have a right to know you are not to be trusted as a business partner/person

Yeah I wouldn't call him far right, more centre by European standards, but I don't know by Iceland standards, maybe he is seen as far right there. The Democrats I would say are centre right wing, maybe a bit too far right wing, whereas the Republicans are seen as extream right wing in the sense of being fanatical. The US doesn't really have left wing politics, which is really comical how the Republicans and Fox News always like they bash the Democrats as being left wing lol, in the US, they've got two choice, centre right and extream right, which explains a lot of the results you see in US society, whereas in the EU, politics is all over the spectrum, from extream left, centre left, centre right, extream right and many others, which is a much truer test of democracy as everyone's views are different and spread across the entire political spectrum, whereas in the US, Americans are boxed into two ideologies, and because of the way the system is made, voting any other way just means your vote doesn't matter and your voice doesn't get heard.

The right to roam in Europe…that’s real freedom!
@Sine-gl9ly
@Sine-gl9ly 7 ай бұрын
There is no absolute or general right to roam in Europe. Different countries and different cultures quite naturally have different rules and customs surrounding these rights of access to the countryside, but one general rule in what I suppose we might call 'western' Europe, and significant other parts of Europe too, is that by following common rules of rural politeness, you are highly unlikely to be confronted by a gun-toting farmer or landowner, and in fact are far more likely to be offered directions to a short cut, a scenic route or even a lift when you're lost!

Every time I see these videos, healthcare is a big topic. So i decided to comment: i'm from Germany and our healthcare system is not for free or cheap. It cost a lot of money. But we here in Germany decided after WW2 that every men has dignity. So our founders had the idea of making a mandatory insurance for Healthcare, everyone has to pay for directly from our income. There ist no choice you don't want it. But i'm fine with this. Cause i know that today it's my neighbour who needs medical treatment but tomorrow it's eventually me. That's what insurances are for. All for one and one for all. ( Yes, i know it's a bit more complicated, but you get the Point)

Yes - and no. Food retailers are required to reduce waste, and if foodstuffs approaching expiry date doesn't sell at a reduced price, they can, and often are, given to homeless shelters, soup kitchens and the like _as long as they're still safe to eat_. So for instance an undamaged can of baked beans is still perfectly safe to eat for weeks, even months, after its expiry date - not so with a carton of fresh soft cheese or a cream cake! I like to go 'yellow stickering' in the more expensive supermarkets, at the time perishables are being reduced in price. There are some AMAZING bargains to be had!

@@gerardflynn7382It's worth paying attention to. It starts with little things, maybe this or that public service gets privatized, maybe another becomes less comprehensive. Slowly things you took for granted become a little more expensive while the richer get lower taxes, but they tell you it will improve the economy. Eventually stuff that used to be normal becomes luxury and you find your paycheck no longer quite stretches as far as your necessities. And then you find you're as free as before in theory, but you can no longer afford to use it. That's when they start telling you to blame some minority who has it even worse than you. And the future we built together ends up in a billionaire's pocketbook. Look at Italy. It's plain as day here.

I'm Italian (sorry for my English), the girl said the true: for a young person WITHOUT MONEY it's hard (even with good ideas), in fact youngs who do that, it's thanks to family/friends help (banks want guarantees and finding financing from private is not easy). I'm just a 'bit perplexed by how she deal with the prospect of a possible failure, she only sees the positive side of it, a sort of ... "ok, I failed but I had an experience, I learned something new". Sure, this is true and it can be a useful lesson for the future, but there's not only that, there are implications that don't involve just you (capital you lose, creditors who don't get their money, someone who loses their job etc). In short: one thing it's to say that one must accept the possibility of failure (after all, this is the risk of doing business), another to see only the positive side and saying "ok, failing it's not a problem" because it's a problem actually, of course, you can fix all (like everything in life), but it's still a problem, so if you manage to not fail and gain experience, maybe it's even better (or not?).
@albval7778

the guarantees for loans and all that is because the state actually has safeguards in place NOT to let you live under a mountain of debt while in the US everything is geared towards making you a monthly payer, if you have no debt and monthly payments you are seen as a "freeloader" your credit score suffers if you dont have monthly payments
@lazios
@lazios 7 ай бұрын
@@albval7778 I don't compare the two (different) systems, my point (as an Italian) is that I know how complex is for a young person to have access to money/financing, if you don't have a family and/or property/asset behind you (unfortunately this is a fact, that's why I mentioned a sort of balance). I criticised the part where the girl talks (about failure) as if it were nothing, as a normal path to take in order to grow, without considering the implications (who I've already written). So a fair middle ground (in an ideal world) would be best: access to credit if one is young, without money but with good ideas, fully aware however of the responsibilities one takes on (because money doesn't rain from the sky). I hope to have explained my thinking correctly. 🍺

@@lazios I think this young lady only cares fpr herself. For her, she has the right to go bankrupt and start new, while other people pay the price for her failures. So she think the USA is better because she can make mistakes using the money from other people. She is only the worst kind of people living the "American Way" and ruins other peoples lifes to get herself rich. So naturally she doesn't like the way it is handled in Europem where she has to pay with her own money for her own stupid mistakes.

There are many ideological things that mean something different in Europe than in the USA, often the opposite. example Liberal, In the USA, Liberal stands for left, In Europe we adhere to the principle of liberalism and start from the individual and not the collective, a liberal in Europe is not left-wing, not a communist or socialist. The term 'democrat' also appears to have a different meaning in the USA than in Europe. The left in the USA is the centre right by European standards.

I guess the auto industry, big oil and big businesses who can exploit low land tax on the outskirts like it. But it creates a dystopia where you have little sense of community, a place where not having a car is functionally like not having legs! You must be burdened with a car, even if you hate driving, because there is no transit and everything is miles apart with no side walks or shade next to a noisy smelly 6 lane road you cannot cross without walking a mile the wrong way to find a bridge!

It is so sad that children of every race, do not have the freedom to play out and enjoy themselves without the fear of being shot while outside or at school, taken and/or seriously hurt or worse. I played out straight after breakfast and had to be home before dark. The deciding factor on whether you went home for lunch was how much fun you were having. Kids need to be kids.

Russia) are based on national average income , is average high (like Holland), so are prices, is average low (like Russia) prices are low... It does not matter if it's food or electronics or a car, only exception being stuff from the usa ( if even allowed here) , but that is coz of the high import tax the usa puts on foreign goods with the results that any other country does the same on american goods ( and NO, i won't use cars as an example coz american cars are just ... well sorta the worst you can get here) So no, do under no circumstance try to drive your p.o.s. ford or w/e on the autobahn at 100 mph unless you have a deathwish... lol p.s. on the autobahn , if you do get into an accident and they can prove you went over 130 km/h you are on you're own unless you have a very very costly special insurance, normal insurance won't pay...

The expiry date doesn't tell you if stuff is of. It tells you at wich point the manufacturer does not guarantee the looks and taste anymore. Most of the stuff is fine and its a complete wast to throw them away. Sadly its not just the US doing this.

The thing about guns you can own a gun in Europe just you need training like a shooting range and then a license from the government and it’s just very strict regulations and i personally find it normal because it’s a deadly weapon you should be strict with it but im from the Netherlands so it’s very rare for someone too have a gun but you can just it’s a lot of work too get one

The thing is the window opens as if it had a hinge on it's lower edge when you just want air coming in and not rain or unwanted attention, but if you open it in the other way it opens with a hinge on the right as a normal window.

There’s nothing wrong with working lots of hours as long as you reward yourself with lots of holidays (vacations) around the world. Something unfortunately America workers can’t usually do.

If you work lots of hours, when you do you take those lots of holidays exactly? This doesn't work in practise at all.

@@andishawjfac If you work lots of hours, especially in a stressful profession and/or environment, and intend to do so effectively and long term, it's generally accepted (apart from in the US, it seems!) that you _need_ lots of downtime/vacation/holiday in order to 'recharge your batteries', be the stress mental, physical or a combination of the two. You'll work all the more effectively for the next few months after returning from a good rest/change of scenery/new experiences, especially in the knowledge that there's another one coming up shortly!

It is not just the food prices. In Europe you can buy fruits, veggies and healthy products quite cheap, whereas - in Denmark at least - meat and sugary products are more expensive.

Also something i have noticed about the food (Im norwegian) is that the price difference of healthy and unhealthy foods are not that big here, and often the unhealthier things are more expensive. Fast food, chips and candy etc is expensive here, which i dont really mind - it makes me choose healthier snacks. We also have a mark on our food (a green keyhole) that symbolizes that this is the healthier choice which is nice (it doesn't have to mean that the food itself is healthy. Like in the cereal aisle some have the keyhole mark which means they score higher on certain health criteria compared with other cereals, but cereal itself isnt necessarily the healthiest choice).

The first clip already shows what´s one of of the most helarious parts of the US: I don´t wan´t to pay 10$ for just 400gr of industrial garbage cookies, I rather spent 3-4 times more so it´s made with real ingrediances by animals which are eating the chemical waste I´m not buying anymore, because I AM SUPIRIOR AND A KNOW IT ALL 😂 If it comes from a store in the US doesn´t matter it´s fresh, it still is trash 😅 And in a recent video you actually told us how kind of bad you and your family are doing. Not sure if I should say it but I think I should let the other viewers know of dire it is: mobile home in the US stands for trailer park 99% of times, it´s not like Europe where many elders see a mobile home has the dream retirement; that´s two completly different approaches to mobile home due to culture. Didn´t thought it was that bad for you guys and figured you got at least some shaby appertement or pretty run down wood shed/ US house like in Shameless: really struggleing but at least something better than a trailer. And some people wanna tell you "just move to Europe"? Are they sponsering the move? Otherwise I don´t see how this happens unless you and your woman find more success on youtube.

The problem with politics is always that people think they can only belong at either the left or the right. In reality, being logic and human basically means that what we dream about are things that originates from both political sides. We want to be left alone (right), but we also want access to free or affordable education and healthcare (left). The problem today in America is that the whole political system has been poisoned by hatred. Politics in Europe tend not to be as extreme and poisoned as it appears it is in America today.

left wing and right wing, need the middle to work like a bird. if a bird only has one wing. left and right are the extremes both sides can have good ideas, good points, but they need to work together for the bird the people

Being left alone isn't the right. Libertarianism is a Left Wing ideology from Europe that was stolen and twisted by Americans, and "do whatever you want as long as you aren't hurting anybody" is a Liberal principle. The problem isn't people thinking they can only be Left or Right, the problem is people like you pretending that the Right have a monopoly on wanting to be left alone. There's a reason LIBERTY and LIBERAL have the same root word, Conservatives have been wanting to dictate who you can marry for years, there's no "being left alone" in that ideology at all.
