Agree with the hugging before a huge fight to tame emotions, Similarly, simple gestures like holding hands or taking a break to resume the discussion after cooling down can prevent hurtful words being thrown in the heat of the moment. Words, after all, can leave deep wounds. Personally, I value loyalty the most, closely followed by open communication. As for cheating, it's easy to say, to just trust. But I personally see that many attached people don't enforce hard enough of a boundary when attached, and it's just a situation ready to boil over imo. That said, I am in Hazel's camp that, if I find out the person cheats, I won't hesitate to cut the person off, I won't love someone who doesn't love me. Germaine is spot on when she says that expecting someone to read minds is unrealistic. Despite my upbringing in a household dominated by women, 'reading between the lines' is pretty '50/50' still. So, I encourage everyone to be more in tune with their feelings and consciously communicate. Sometimes, a bit of patience and conversation is all it takes to bridge misunderstandings.

I love this topic. I have lots to say and share. Like Azura, if my partner does not give me any reason to doubt, I wouldn't bat an eye. However, when he does, the "woman's scorn" in me gets hyper-sensitive and paranoid. Regaining trust will be an enormous feat. I am usually the quiet one but if the matter gets escalated beyond my acceptable level, I will question the act rather than scold to get some kind of comment or reason(s). I am not so lovey-dovey with words or touch. My act of love is usually in what I provide financially, preparing home-cooked meals, cleaning the home daily, and performing other tasks. In my 30+ years, I feel that I am expected to do ALL and BE ALL. Micro-cheating is still cheating. Can your heart take it when your eyes see the cheating act and how it is justified as “I am nice and caring to everyone”? Whilst others may think it is an innocent act, please bear in mind that the recipient may feel not. Those acts can be perceived as affection, and it may lead to infidelity. On Haz, 17:01 - not knowing is fine, but what was the intention of the commenter? Trusting your partner is fine and dandy, but does that Trust also extend to the recipient? I feel that non-permanent relationships can easily be separated. However, a permanent one needs to be legally bound.

Hmm… now I know there’s way more than an innocent react on ig story of “oh this is hot”, “nice photo”, etc as a general compliment/support. But it’s ok for me to do so as I fall under the safe category (under Azura’s terms) 😂
