This is GOLD! I wish someone had shared this with me MUCH EARLIER in my career. Every photographer should understand this before worrying about the technical aspects of photography.

Are payroll and payroll taxes included in the expense number?

Forgive me if this is a dumb question. But on $24k a month and $14k profit. How/what are you expensing $10k on during that month? That seems like a lot

I’m interested in starting part-time work while continuing my current 9-5 job. When can I shoot when it's dark at 5:30 😠

@@gregallen1 That's helpful Greg. Is it rude to shoot early? Like 7:30am?

@@ryancoovert depends on agent and family. If you have a 9-5 then your only option is to offer your services on the weekends which is HUGE due to most having a 9-5 operation. If that is an issue then you don’t really want this hence the 🎶 cry me a riverrrr 🎶 😀

@@gregallen1 I have no problem working on the weekends. I was more wondering if it’s necessary to offer services more than two days a week and still retain clients.

@ check out Nathan Cools philosophy on starting in this business. You don’t want to start fast regardless of what Eli Jones teaches. You want to start SLOW. 1-2 clients MAX for about 6 months. Work out all the kinks. Shouldn’t be concerned about client prospecting in the beginning. You’ll only shoot yourself in the foot by trying to get as much business fast.
